If the rumour about Sandro joining us is real then i would expect something like this to happen..

Modders - Sgt W/Sandro - Hudds/Niko - Lennon.

Thats the best for us at the moment. Somehow when i saw the replay against Aston Villa Sgt W was kinda out. He looks tired mentally and a rest would do him good once Sandro comes.

That seems about right, but I think with the form that Nio is in it will be very hard to drop him when Luka comes back, thats why I think that if Sgt P doesn't get back to form he could be the one that is dropped.

Well its been a tough year for Sgt. I mean his brother and all.. the world cup. Gotta pity him that he needs to give his best for the club. Wouldnt help it if he continues like this, we all know he is great but he needs the backup i do hope sandro comes asap.

I'd rather have O'hara back seeing as we already know what he can do.

Modric Edges Closer to Return!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Luka Modric has stepped up his rehabilitation by appearing in a training ground friendly.

The Tottenham midfielder has been sidelined since suffering a fractured fibula in the Premier League game against Birmingham back in August.

It was initially hoped that he would be back in action after just six weeks but it has taken longer than expected for him to return to fitness.

The Croatian has been making good progress more recently and started to train with Spurs' youth team towards the end of last month.

He is now closing in on a first-team comeback after coming through 70 minutes of a friendly against Grays Athletic on Tuesday.

Development coach Clive Allen was delighted to see the talented schemer play his part in a 5-2 victory over the Blue Square Premier side at Spurs Lodge.

"It was great to see Luka back," Allen told the club's official website.

"He worked hard in the game, he needed the match practice and I'm sure it will bring him on a great deal."

Yipee, hopefully he'll be able to make the bench against Wolves. He'll get such a great reception if he comes on, even if its just for a couple of minutes.

Tottenham ace Luka Modric is delighted to be back in action after recovering from a fractured leg.

The Croatia schemer played 70 minutes of a friendly with Grays Athletic on Tuesday and he reported no reaction to his comeback.

Modric is now relishing returning to Harry Redknapp's first-team as he looks to put three months of injury torment behind him.

"I did not feel any pain and that is the most important thing," Modric told the club's official website.

"It is great to be back and I am happy. It is a relief after three months.
Squad

"I can't wait to play again. The last three months have been hard, but that's behind me now.

"I will take it step by step and I'll have to see now when the manager decides to put me back in the squad."

Modric is confident Spurs can maintain their push for a top four finish this term after enjoying an impressive campaign to date

"We have a great team, a great squad, lots of quality players and that is good for the club," added Modric.

"We have plenty of options and that's positive. I hope we can keep it going."

Any time now by the looks of things ;D

Im guessing they wanted to be extra careful with our star player. We wouldnt  want him to be injury prone as he is much more physically vulnerable right? if he recovered 100% then he should be back to his old self. I just hope he can recapture his form :P God i love modders please enlighten us again.

I have said this before, but after Saturday, seems worth reiterating - It will be long while until Modders is back to his best! As we saw on Saturday he was unable to exert much influence from Midfield, even against an average Wolves midfield, so I wouldn't expect much more V Barry, Ireland, De-Jong Etc - maybe by Feb we will see our old Modders back!

Well thank god De Jong loves his piggies and has swine flu. Well at least we have Krancjar to put creativity in our midfield.

With BAE and Bassong going to African nations we may have no option but to play 3-5-2 Daws, Corluka and Woodgate or King if either is fit, with Lennon and Krancjar playing as wingbacks and Modric, Palacios and Hudd in midfield. It might work at home but think we will have to play a bit safer away not that Bales defending inspires much confidence.

I don't think it will be that drastic - it will be one of these below - we have lots of players to choose from and that is before we look at the likes of Dervitte or bringing the likes of Walker or O'Hara back off lone! We have any combination of (depending if ledders and Woody, or at least one of them is fit) the personnel below!

Corluka - King - Woodgate - Bale
Corluka - King - Dawson - Bale
Corluka - Dawson - Woodgate - Bale
Hutton - Corluka - Dawson - Bale
Naughton - Dawson - Hudd - Hutton
Hutton - Dawson - Corluka - Naughton

I'd forgotten we had Naughton. Maybe Harry has too, not seen him for ages looked pretty good when he came on earlier in the season.
