Rumours in Bulgarian media about possible options in Berba's new expected contract:

Point 1: Berba will commit himself to scoring at least 20 goals in the Premiership.

Point 2: Should he score those and Tottenham still does not qualify for CL, he will be allowed to leave.

Point 3: In case he does not score 20 goals or more in the Premiership and Tottenham does not qualify for CL, he will stay in the club.

I think we will qualify for CL, though. #3 spot is ours for the taking !!

P.S. Now wtf in a recent study I read Drogba is rated #8th best player in the world and Berba is at #44 !?!?!

44th?!!! What a load of bull. Who decided that?!! I'd like to see all the others above him, but there's no way Drogblah is the 8th best in the world.

It was this crap UEFA Magazin that ranked them on Wendsday -
http://www.uefa.com/competitions/ucl/championsmag/index.html

According to it, the top 10 are as follows:

1. Kaka
2. Ronaldinho
3. C.Ronaldo
4. Gerard
5. Didier Drogba (lol, he's even fifth!)
6. Rooney
7. T. Henry
8. Lionel Messi
9. J. Terry
10. Frank Lampard

Confirmed - Berba is ranked 44th ...

lol, all these 'player rankings' from magazines or websites are a load of balloney.

In another one i saw, Robbo was 402/403 for worst premiership player, and Kevin Davies who has been great and really effective for Bolton, was last.

They may aswell call it 'The bum the top 4 rankings' :)

Btw I H8 Davies so can't complain with him being the worst... Why not: Gallas the worst player??? That would make more sense.

Hang on a sec... 4 ENGLISH players in top 10 rankings?! LOL, it doesn't exactly show in our national team!

contracts. i think poeple should just sign a really long contract when they arrive at the club. when a player (not particuly berbatov) wants to leave they just demand it so it makes the contract almost worthless.

p.s
by the way dimitar_b. what is that song for your gareth bale video. it sounds abit like the fratellis.

It is the Fratellis ;)

For the girl - The Fratellis

Problem with your contract thing though, is if the player wants to leave andh e has a huge contract, and no team is willing to pay for you, you have to stay. Where as at the end of a contract clubs will purchase you on a free.

Footballers contracts are not worth the paper they're printed on. No club will ever keep a player who wants to leave. You always get the  people who say let em rot in the reserves but that is totally unpractical if your star player is on £50,000 a week you cant just let him amble about in the stiffs whilst paying him that kind of money. Players only worry about contracts  when they are injured to make sure they are still gonna get paid. To be honest I blame all this on agents who turn contented players heads by telling them that another club will double their money just so they can get a big fat slice of the transfer fee.

This should not be on the contract at any cost, this is a massively dangerous clause and I for one will be gutted if we're stupid enough to promise Berbatov this.
