Teemu Tainio

After seeing on various sites and reading rumours, some true and many untrue Teemu's name has been poping up afew times recently. Alot state that Martin Jol seems to be prepared to sell the ever popular dynamic midfielder!

I know i will not be the only one who will be completly stunned by this? i know, well more hope and prey its probably a load of rubbish!
In these posts they apear to place Taino in the same catogory as players like as Mido, Ghaly and Murphy.
Personaly I dont see how they can came to this conclusion. When ever Teemu playes, you alwys not what your going to get from his performnace. Hard working, sure tackler, great engine and ALWAYS gives 110%.

Unfortunalty for Teemu, he seems to get injured quite alot, maybe this is to do with they way he plays i.e. never pulling out of a tackle and wearing himself into the ground every game. But when he does play and was along Zokora in the centre of the park this season.
We have a player linking the midfield and the attack, and ultimatly we seem to dominate the games for big spells.
Noticeably in the recent game against Ars*nal. Before Teemu got injured we were dominating the play and were in the accendancy, soon as he went off we lost our foothold in the game n the scum began controlling!!

We have to keep teemu!

I totally agree, I love his commitment and heart, he's the type of player that passes and moves bringing the ball up the pitch, rather than a long-ball type.

I think we should keep hold of Teemu and dont sell him to any team as he is a good player. I think all the transfer talk linking him with a move away from our club is a load of non-sense.

He has been unlucky with the injuries he has had of late when he has been playing at his best, The midfield is great but when Tainio is there we link the play and seem to take control of the game. I saw him against Ars*nal we took charge of the game but then the injury strikes again on him, Not only do we lose our best player but the scum take full control of the match we dominated.

I agree, TT gives us that bite in midfield which we otherwise lack sometimes. I think maybe this is just another silly season story, my impression was that Jol is a fan of Teemu, I`d be surprised if he let him go.
The only thing is, I think he could could improve his distribution.

I have actually noticed that we play well with Tainio. Like in our thrashing of Bolton @ home Jol put Tainio on the right and he came inside as Chimbo occupied the wing, while Lennon was on he left. From this, we seemed to dominate the midfield and therefore completely thrash Bolton.

That was a clever tactic by Jol and I would have thought he had have used it more often. Teemu seems to go unnoticed but i agree the team plays better with him than when malbranque plays for example. I hope we sell Ghaly and not Tainio, as I'm sure Jol will be getting rid of one of them.
Get Moussa Sissoko In Spurs!!!!

And come on City, break that bloomin' top 4!

Completly agree, he's a really gifted player who makes up for any lack of skill he may have with complete performances. I prefer him to jenas in midfield, i'd defintely like to see him play game after game. He's underated perhaps because he doesn't get as many games as other players, but a vital part of the team.

Tainio is a fantastic player and I think he genuinley likes being at the Lane. I would have said from the amount of games he's played Jol is a big fan and I really hope Teemu stays at the club because he's excellent.

Surely not. This would be a huge mistake. Just because he is not given to extravagent flashy football means that he is often underated. This is a rumour started by one of the numerous clubs who would love to have him giving as much to them as he gives to Spurs.

I love Teemu

One of my three favourite players. He is in Jol's first team as our LM at the mid whenever he is fit and I cannot see him leaving. Every loves the way he playes, heart on his sleeve and we need those sort of players. Teemu is a great member of the squad. He is also a Spurs fan from when he was a child so I am sure he will be devastated to leave. TT is a Yiddo

Selling Teemu would be a huge mistake. He's a good, strong player who goes in for every tackle and I thinks we need someone like that in the squad. Also he seems dedicated to spurs and I don't think he'd really want to go.

I really like him as a player, always gives 100% and throws himself in for everything.

However, Hes not good enough for a regulalr spot in the 1s team imo but a great squad player.
