It is looking likely that Tottenham Hotspur will have secured the signatures of a trio of players with their surnames starting with be.

Giles Barnes, Gareth Bale and Darren Bent all look to be Tottenahm bound and the final price could come to close to £20 million.

£3 million rated Barnes has been lighting up the championship this season with many dazzling performances. It has alerted many premiership clubs to his talents. Tottenham seem to be in the poll position for Giles.

Gareth Bale rated at £6-£10 million is the next player that looks likely to be heading to N17. Spurs tried to sign the young Welsh fullback in january but that deal was scuppered by the player himself. However, Spurs interest is still there and it seems it won't be long until Martin Jol gets his way and signs the Southampton player.

The final player in the trio is the Charlton striker Darren Bent. With the departure of Mido imminent it seems Bent is the ideal man to fill his shoes at White Hart Lane following his relegation to the championship with Charlton. It is though Bent will cost between £8 million and £10 million.

Barnes would be a great signing and I would be very excited with him at the Lane. Bale, overpriced for his age and inexpirienced. Bent would be great but only if Defoe left.

I have never seen barnes play live, is a championship player really the short term solution to our left side?  i have my doubts.  Surely he is not the player to help us secure 4th next season.

Bent I am not interested in, his price is too high and it would all depend on Defoe's departure, it may be that Bent and Keane is a strong partnership in which case I would rathar him over Deofe, who never kicked off a strong partnership with Keane.

Bent would not be a bad replacement if JD left. Bent and Keane as a striking partnership not sure that would happen i say we will stick berba and keano even if we had bent in the team great for back up. But I rather think that we should stick with Defoe, who has never had the chance to play with Keane only one game away to Liverpool which we lost 3-0.

Giles Barnes would be a great signing for us. As For Bale I think the asking price is a bit too high.

Bent and Barnes would be great signings.

Bent is better than Defoe, and Barnes has the potential to be as good as any of our midfielders.

Bale, too much money, another B Baines would be a better option, or prefferably Matty Taylor or Gamst.

I think Keane and Defoe had enough chances with each other last season and it rarely kicked off into major form.

I read in todays paper that  Barnes wants to stay at Derby even if they fail to win the play off final which is a bit of a shame. Bent has been priced at £15 million which to my mind is at least £7 mill to much. And I think Bale will go to Man Utd and we will get Heinze.
