The Mansion
English Conference

SNFC went into this game with some great news, their captain DC76 was passed fit and ready to play.

American Rob also returned to the team, and returned in style. Within 13 minutes he was on the score sheet for his 20th goal of the season. Daniisco lifter the ball towards the back post for Rob to superbly head pass the keeper.

SNFC were pushing players forward in numbers, it was only time before a second was on the cards. It finally came on the 39th minute mark. Alma got free on the left wing to cross a curling ball for Rob to again power his header in.

Second half was a tougher contest for SNFC, but showed they are well disciplined and kept Forest Greens chances down to  a minimum.

Then the moment that sent The Mansion is to jubilations. On the 58th minute SN won a corner. Berba's Right Peg swung in a deep ball for DC76 to jump and head in. It was his first goal for the club. He looked to have enjoyed that one.

Forest Green managed an consolation goal deep into stoppage time.

DC76 Scores First Professional Goal, Rob Runs Total To 21 As SNFC Clearcuts Forest Green 3-1
Canadafootball.com

Despite having left the last match with an injury, gritty Canadian DC76 was back in the lineup as captain for insurgent Conference newcomers Spurs Network FC as they beat Forest Green 3-1, with the opposition's goal not coming until stoppage time. And he came back big. After American wunderkind Rob scored two goals to continue his unprecedented scoring run, DC76 brought the Mansion to its feet with a headed goal off a splendid Berba's Right Peg corner for his first goal as a professional.

His goal celebration was one of the wackiest of the season in all of England as he did his best air-guitar rendition of Fear Factory then threw the crowd the horns and kissed the team badge! He was very happy with how he played, and it showed in a post-match interview with our own Dorian Hawkins. He was grinning ear to ear.

"Oh MAN! That had to be the best match I've ever played! I don't think anything went wrong... must have been that steak I had last night! YEEEEEEEEAH! Hell, I think everyone played well! Rob was
Rob, Biggs and the mids were creating chances, my mates on the D and Storts were solid... there was nothing anyone could do about the stoppage time goal, but bah! That was a minor blip! Seriously, though. Daniisco, Dimitar B., Lyubokick, alma, and even Keane on Spurs were passing machines! dazzaTH is sure coming along, too - he was a BEAST at center back!"
