I see your point, look at it this way he has done it with his previous club and if he joins and does well with us then a "bigger" club comes knocking he will no doubt do it to us if he cant get his own way.  We have been through that s**t twice in recent years with Berbatoss and Modrat both vital players to us that were performing well.

We hate them for how they left and I wouldnt want a player joining us using the same tactics as its sucks in every way!

Transfer request then let business take its course!

     I seem to remember Dempsey doing the exact same thing to Fulham at the end of 2011-2012, but I didn't see anyone criticize him, and lets be honest he ain't that good is he?
    Unfortunately in todays climate, it is the only way for an under contract player to get a transfer if his Club won't sell him.

I think now we have a Director of football Levy  most probably wont be involved in transfer negotiations apart from signing the cheque. At least that should be the case. If Levy is still handling that stuff it makes you wonder what the D.O.F is for.

To be fair we don't know whether Benteke was actually on Spurs radar or was it a ploy by the Benteke's camp to get more money out of Aston Villa; which seems to have worked.

I noticed our biggest fan The Sun newspaper (they hate us by the way) couldnt wait to list AVB as a possible target for the Barca hotseat!

Free rubbish id bad enough but soon we will have to pay to read the Sun online. Even at £1 for 2 months, it's well overpriced. I occasional look in, but this will be the end of the Sun as far as I am concerned.

Yeap I always find their shizzer entertaining read due to the poor journalism. Wouldnt pay a penny for it though!

What annoys me is that those papers play games in speculating. It is just to sell papers not to inform.

Funnily enough I thought the same. The papers pick a name out of thin air and say he is going to sign for so-and-so. The same with Bale; it is about selling papers, not informing their readership with honest and well researched investigations.
