I was at the Palace game and I thought they were bad. We need to buy and buy good in the January transfer window.

It's nearly impossible to bring in loads of new quality players in January and expect them to click right away and start producing magic. The sooner we accept this season is going to be as (or even more?) disappointing as most of the recent ones, the better.

Didn't see the game or the highlights,  went bass fishing and got a couple of 4 pounders!

That is true, however, we can make a start in January and hopefully start to do a lot better.

Once you've got a team together then you need time to build them into something that resembles a challenging team. The team that Poch has got had been inherited from previous managers. The January window should be the start of a process where he gets the team he wants, or the team he thinks will challenge for the title.

Spurs have to buy in the January window's sale. At least we can start a new process, or a new team building.

Pochettino has come out and said that none of the present players will be sold in January and everyone's in his plans.

Unfortunately, I think the decision to sell or buy doesn't rest solely with Poch, but with Levy, who ultimately makes the decisions regarding the dumping and recruiting of players, and that is the PROBLEM  :( :( :(
Hopefully I will be proved wrong, but I'm not going to hold my breath!! :nope: :nope:

That seems strange as the news coming out of Spurs says that he will be given £20 million, plus whatever he can sell to generate money.

I agree. We need to buy in the January window. Especially another striker.

Good points Mr Blackjack and a feather in your cap. Quality made the past Spurs great teams. Quality can bring us back to a named team that is one of those that is always challenging things.

Our motto was what you mean Mr Blackjack. I remember those nights, back in the 60s, when we were in Europe against the best and we gave no quarter. We fought for every ball and usually won it. Those were the days.

Quality is certainly what we need. I hope Mr Levy is listening.

Glenn Hoddle was right this week when he quoted we need a special player!, well nearly, we need 3 or 4, we had a few in Harrys time, he had the best blend since the early 80s, to rip that team apart like the AVB did breaks my heart
