Pochettino  is untested at the highest level, Mancini has experience. But we just don't know. Are trying to look for an argument or what? How is my stating which manager I would prefer trouble? So you believe that because we don't know how it will pan out, we should not have an opinion? If this is true I think we should try and sign the next Rebrov because we just don't know, it might work out next time.

I've read about how good Sven Goran Eriksen is a good manager, even managed England believe it or not, but it doesn't mean I want him as Spurs' manager.

      Voice neither of them have ACHIEVED ANYTHING AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL. The only difference between them is One is British and the Other can't speak English.

Well Pochettino seems to be playing some good attractive and attacking football at Southampton. But bearing in mind that he is about to lose 3 or 4 of his best players, how long will that continue ?? No wonder he has been linked with a move to us.
Personally, I am not convinced. Unless he can bring those players with him, which is doubtful, then I cant see how he will do any better than Sherwood did.
What we need is a manager who can be allowed, and have the capability, to bring in the players who will make a difference. Either that, or do what AVB and Sherwood failed to do, make something of our current bunch.

I didn't mean trouble in the literal sense, just figuratively. What I meant was that whoever you get you won't know until the end of the season. We could point the finger at somebody and say we don't want him and he could turn out to be he best manage we've ever had. Then again you could say that this is the manager we want, and he turns out to be a donkey. Alex recommended Moyes and most at United were happy. He was gone within a year. No offence was intended or implied.

If you are suggesting that Pochettino can't speak English; from what I've heard is his English is pretty good. He is just not confident with it. On the training ground he speaks English.

Mancini is now out of the frame and from out of nowhere Ancelloti now breaks in at 10 - 1.

I think this is more hopeful than realistic, especially considering Madrid's success in the CL, not that that has stopped them losing their manager in the past. Ancelloti would easily be my number one choice. For me he is a better choice than Van Gaal, Benitez or De Boer. I just can't see it happening.

Pochettino is our most likely suspect. If he comes I hope he is the next Brendon Rogers, but I fear he will be another AVB.

Its looking like Pochettino is going to get the job. Whether he turns out to be another AVB only time will tell. The difference so far is that he has had a successful first season in the Prem. Assuming he can work with the bulk of our squad, and can bring in 2 or 3 players that HE actually wants, then maybe he will be a breath of fresh air for us.
As always, I will be 100% behind him if he is appointed. But this time he really must be given 3 seasons to turn things around, as we may not be able to make sufficient changes to the squad this year, assuming they are needed.

Its Pochettino signed a 5 yr deal, here is what Levy is quoted as saying:

"In Mauricio I believe we have a Head Coach who, with his high energy, attacking football, will embrace the style of play we associate with our Club. He has a proven ability to develop each player as an individual, whilst building great team spirit and a winning mentality.

"We have a talented squad that Mauricio is excited to be coaching next season."

We have gone for the cheapest option...... again.

I wish him luck and I will support him and our great team , here is hoping he can bring us what we crave, football played teh spurs way and not rolling over and taking a good kicking from the top 4 teams!

I hope to god i`m wrong but i think this is a mistake .Not enough experience and probably won`t be given enough time or control .I like what he`s done at southampton but this is tottenham hotspur and daniel levy .Completely different animals altogether .

I know the Pochettino deal seems done but De Boer has confirmed he is leaving Ajax and having won 4 league titles is a better bet in my book, especially considering his back-room staff.
I hope the media have got it wrong.
