The next 2 Games

This is probably always true no matter who the opposition are or at what stage of the league. However, in this case it really means a little more than usual.

I believe the next two premiership games (Chelsea away and Ars*nal @ home) will define our whole season. Not only because we desperately need all 6 points, in my opinion, but because of the impact these points could have on the ones we are challenging with. It really is that simple, if we win both games we will have a chance of getting 4th spot. It would galvanize the team for the closing stretch. It will reign in Chelsea which will add greater competition for those vying for top spot, putting more pressure on those sides. Especially as Chelsea still need to play Ars*nal and Liverpool. The knock it would give Ars*nal, may cause them to falter even further and they may be the team most likely to be dragged down into the scrap for 4th. It will put even more pressure on Moyes and Man Utd would be out of the hunt and Everton will be justly content to position above Man Utd.

After winning these two games, we could draw with Liverpool and the rest are for the taking. Our last 6 games has to be the best out of the top 7 teams. (not checked all of them, but think it must be). I know we do not always do well against certain 'lesser' sides (Norwich for example) but we are still better than all of those teams and should be winning nearly all of them.

So lets see if we have got what it takes? If not then I expect us to end up 5th at best, but may fall back further.

Im afraid I think our season was defined a while back and the Norwich game put the nail in the coffin!, I can not see us taking even 6 points from the Chelsea, Ars*nal and Liverpool games!, we will have a game on our hands with Southampton aswell, pluss two Benfica games in the mix aswell! its a bridge to far Im afraid!, It may be mathmaticly possible still but extremely unlikely. City have two games in hand, Pool are magnificent at the moment, Ars*nal even when we play at home run all over us, when we had Bale we had a chance but the way we allow other teams weaker teams to dictate us then Ars*nal are going to run rings round us with there passing and movement!, I dont even think our players have the belief they can win! , Chelsea have found form aswell so its going to take a mammoth effort from now on in and going on our few previous weeks we just dont have the desire or team playing well enough to do it!.
Our final few games are all winnerable but It top 4 will be out off reach by then unless those above us have a major break down!. remaining games after those stated above are Sunderland, W Brom, Fulhan, Stoke, W Ham , Villa.

I think the next 4 games and what Ars*nal and Liverpool achieve/ do will decide our season. It is not just in your hands, but our opponents’ hands (namely Liverpool and Ars*nal). We need to beat Ars*nal and Liverpool and at least draw against Chelsea. I think it can be done, but, after the Cardiff game (yes, we won, but we were terrible), we need to buck our ideas up. March will be a defining season.

We also must remember; even if we do perform badly both Everton and United could leapfrog over us. Then we won’t even be in Europa, let alone the European Championships. Which also could mean we might lose some of our top players and would a top manager be interested in coming here? All hypothetical, so one step at a time and steady on the helm.

No, because Chelsea won it and didn't defend it. They went into the European Championship competition.

Next year if we won it (or whoever wins it) we/ they will automatically go into European Championship competition.

I agree with you to some extent. We had the chance to go above Liverpool and we blew it. Whilst they have gone on a run again. (It helps that they can score goals for fun). I also agree that in our current state we are not seen as being a threat, so Ars*nal and Chelsea will go into these games with confidence.

However, due to the teams around us and all the way to the top dropping points at various stages, the competition is closer than ever. Each team has had a bad patch and then gone on a run at other points. Man City looked like they would run away, but didn't, Ars*nal the same.

If we win the next two games, then I think it would give us a real chance. I am not saying I think we will win them, but we have a chance. If we lose both or draw one and lose the other, it will reflect on how our whole season has gone and come the end of the season, some serious questions need to be asked of Levy and Co.

I think it is time the fans started thinking about airing their demands for a change. Not of the Manager, as so often happens, but to direct it to those above making very poor decisions.

Its about time they let the manager pick the players he wants as quite frankly are scouts are pants!, whats happend to this young lad we got from Barcelona a few years back at 15, he was suppossed to be the next Marradonsa/Messi?, I cant even remember his name now!. Too many players Spurs have bought that are just not up to scratch! and when we do find one Bale, we cant keep them because were not strong enough to warrant them staying!!!, and this club is exspected to make the top 4! ..your aving a laugh!!!! .

Lets face it, the Chelsea game has finally confirmed what we have known for most of the season. We are nowhere near a top 4 side. The rest of the season is irrelevant. We have no chance of top 4, and IMO no chance of winning Europa League. Back to the drawing board, yet again.

We`ve taken too many hammerings from the top clubs for it to be a coincidence .Major work is needed in the summer to put right levy`s interference in the last pre-season .The new manager (lets be realistic) will need to be a strong minded man who knows what he wants and how to get it .

All the top 4 clubs have beaten us (with the exception of Chelsea who we drew against at WHL, but beat us at Stamford Bridge). The clubs under the top 4; Everton and United we've beaten and drawn against. Which tells us that we are a top 5 or 6 club this season. Over £100 million for a 5th or 6th spot; and that is if we are lucky.
