Yes, a good result. I did say that they needed to win this match if they had thoughts of a top 4 place. Our next match would tell us how we've improved (or not) under Sherwood; City at home. I am not sure whether to put this as a draw.

Improved or Not your having a laugh, what planet are you on ?

We have won 5 and drawn 1 under Sherwood scoring 2.2 goals a game rather than the 0.94 under the last numpty, the football is free flowing and exciting and Adebayor, Erikson and Lennon look rejuvenated. In fact Sherwood has given us our club back just like he said he would because he knows what Spurs is all about.
Whats the big deal about Citeh why have we got to prove ourselves against them ? I know one thing we won't roll over against them like we did at the Citeh of Manchester and I think we may give them a few things to think about, we may even get something from the game !!
We all know your unhappy the numpty and his negative football has gone and you are dying for Sherwood to make a mistake so you wade in and say I told you so but after todays performance Sherwood has the best stats(in his openng 6 games) of any Spurs manager including Bill Nicholson so why even think we haven't improved !!

Things are looking up we rode our luck a little today but when we needed to we did the business and took our chances and looked good on the ball again no negative sideways sideways back and sideways.

COYS

:nods:

You are wrong; I want Sherwood to do well and get a better contract. But to do that he has got to get us into the top 4. I hope he does it.

I don't want Sherwood to fail, however, you never liked AVB and spent every chance you got knocking him. Whoever is in charge needs to get us into the top 4.

And I was right !!!

The manager should get 100% backing by all but only if he is doing the job required, unfortunately there was never any point during AVB's tenure that I felt he was totally in control and knew what he was aiming at.

And as Joolz has said Sherwood HAS bought football back to our club something that we have always had something that we demand, forget the projects and plans I like the roller coaster ride that most seasons are !!

I couldn't agree more Ugs, I said many times that I didn't agree with the negative style that AVB was using, and I also said that Spurs have always been known for attempting to play an entertaining brand of football, but was told to stop living in the past, well NOW, under one TIM SHERWOOD, we are as you quite rightly say, playing some pretty entertaining stuff and I absolutely LOVE IT, its what I reckon 70-80% of the SPURS Faithful have been craving since Redknapp was sacked, and long may it continue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :ohyeah: :ohyeah: :ohyeah:

Yesterday we played 1-4-5-1, which because of the Team selected became 1-3-4-3, and some of the football that we played is as good as I have seen Spurs play in a long, long time. Absolutely sensational, every single player played well, some of the link-up play was breathtaking. Good on Sherwood for having the BALLS to change the style of play, something that our previous coach wouldn't do, and I think Sherwood won't be afraid to change the way we play from one week to the next which will make us very UN-PREDICTABLE in our style, and thus will make it difficult for the opposition. :nods: :nods:

Well done TIM, I for ONE applaud you.  :ohyeah: :ohyeah:

I'm happy that Tim is a new breed of English managers - brave, ambitious, hungry. His style is different and so far he's proving you don't have to be Spanish or South-American to play attractive football.

Tim has made a great start for sure. But its early days, and I will wait until we play all the top 6 sides again before I make judgement over how we are doing this season, as so far we haven't beaten one of them.

To be fair you never liked him from the beginning. He got 100% backing from his players. He did well last season (even breaking a few records) and this season… well, we shall never know now.

You talk about bringing football back to our club; but when that football was here what did we ever win? The last time we won the league was over 50 years ago. What we want is results and trophies (and more important the league). I do hope that Sherwood succeeds and does well at Spurs. But he will only keep his job, as he as recently said, if he gets us into the top 4. I would rather that we win trophies and a high position (top 4) than talking about the “Spurs way” and nothing. We are a football club and a business and it doesn’t matter how we do it, what Sherwood achieves, or doesn’t, but about results, trophies and finishing in the top 4. End of!

I'll go along with that. However, in an interview with Tim Sherwood he said that if he doesn't achieve top 4 spot he is out. Spurs want success and I don't care who it is with; AVB, Sherwood or even Micky Mouse...

One thing I was pleased with yesterday (well, there were many actually) was that Sherwood was prepared to change the formation. He is showing he isn't going to stick with one formation.

We must remember that we played Swansea, not one of the top 3 teams and whilst I would not want to diminish our performances so far, it would be wise to remain cool until we meet the top sides.

Adebayor was raised from the dead, thanks to Sherwood, something AVB was not prepared to do and for me that was the turning point in my belief in him and the turning point in our recent success.

AVB had my full backing last season and he did quite well imo, but sadly he ballsed  it up this season. I am sure that those of us who supported him, although sorry to see him go, are delighted with the way the club is doing with Sherwood. I sincerely hope the present tend is more than just a flash in the pan!

He might have broken a record or Two, but because of HIS inadequacies, namely trying to protect a lead in a couple of Home games, instead of going for the JUGULAR and killing off the game, we missed out on CL, and incidently our points tally would have been even more + we would have finished 4th, unfortunately for him he insisted on trying to play a boring, un-entertaining brand of Football that the majority of our supporters HATED. In the words of the late great Danny Blanchflower, its not all about just winning, its about doing it in style, with a flourish, not boring the spectators to death. How right he was. I know it was only Swansea, but what a difference between Sundays game, and the home fixture back in August. Now we have to see what happens against Man City and the others of top 6.

That was in Danny's days when we were the kings. Now we are just the run-arounds who want to be kings. I would rather be known as a regular top 4 place team and winning trophies than playing attractive football.

Well Voice lets see how TS does then shall we because at the moment we are on course to finish in the top four, which is more than what we were with your 'chosen one' AVB in charge.
You do realise that the steady uncreative boring crap that AVB served up has cost us 4th at the moment due to his lack of attacking play and goal scoring coupled with a 5-0 and 6-0 defeat so as many proper Spurs fans will agree lets have some flair, excitement and style and also finish in the top four. If we don't finish top 4 then at least we will have been entertained along the way and had a great journey for a Spurs fan you really don't get it do you ....
Audere est Facere .... Too Dare is to Do, that's whhat Spurs is all about !!!!

Well Voice lets see how TS does then shall we because at the moment we are on course to finish in the top four, which is more than what we were with your 'chosen one' AVB in charge.
On the first part let us hope you are right (that we finish in the top 4). On the second part; that is based on your dislike of him and not known facts. In other words we shall never now know the answer.

Sod the flair, I want results, trophies and the league titles. If we can do that with flair; great. But what is important are trophies and titles first.
As for losing 5-0 nil. We were two down and could have recovered until Palinho was sent off. Six nil wasn’t that much of a disgrace seeing as the league leaders got beaten 6-3 in the fortress City (who, I might add are the best team in the league and probably will win top spot).
I go to Spurs to see them win. The used to call Ars*nal “boring, boring Ars*nal” but look what they won. They call us stylish Spurs; and what did we win? Feck all. Give me “boring, boring Spurs” and trophies any day to stylish nothing.

Audere est Facere .... Too Dare is to Do, that's whhat Spurs is all about !!!!
Exactly; “To Dare is to do”; and to do is win trophies, not to entertain with nothing to show for it.
I’ve lived a life that’s full. I’ve travelled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.
