Since Sherwood took over from AVB we got knocked out of two competitions.

Thats a bit low Voice the game against Wet Spam was his first in charge and he had a day to prepare for it !! and against the Scum at Scumbury we've only won 3 out of the last 23 so it's not really a surprise .... and you really think AVB would of done any better better !!!

I don't see anything low in this comment. There is no mention of AVB or any other previous manager/coach. The fact remains that we  have been knocked of out of 2 cups since TS took over. This, by no means suggests that it is a bad omen and TS has my full support. I trust that with a clear passage cup wise,  he will now take us up the table a lot quicker.

He also has my support, but that doesn't mean I haven't got any concerns. I also hope that he finishes in the top 4. I suppose we've got to give it a few more games (until after the city game) to get a clearer picture. But if he doesn't finish in the top 4 I would be very surprised if he is still manager next season.

But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

How come you were prepared to give AVB time, yet you aren't prepared to give TS the same, at least Tim Sherwood is getting the lads playing  entertaining and attacking football by utilizing Soldado with a strike partner(Adebayor) and they are creating chances for other players, since TS has been in charge(4 PL games) we have scored 9 goals, admittedly against lesser teams and he hasn't lost a PL game yet, AVB was in charge for 16 PL games and we only managed to score 15 goals, maybe if AVB had swallowed his pride and played Adebayor with Soldado in a 4-4-2 formation he might still have his job, and we almost certainly would have scored more goals. I for one will be disappointed if Tim Sherwood is sacked if we don't make CL, as you keep telling us Voice, even Alex Ferguson struggled when he first took over Manure, so I think TS deserves the same time as you were prepared to give AVB.

Fair points Paul, I am puzzled as to why Voice is sharpening the guillotine already for TS when in all honesty the improvements regarding style of play which is now attacking, chances created, goals scored, players utilised better and points earned in the EPL have all been an improvement!

Yes we have gone out of 2 cups, who is to say that with AVB the outcome would have been any different?  In my opinion considering our current position and problems the less competitions we need to focus on the better our chance of landing top 4.

I can't see Tim risking Ade or too many first team players even against who should not be named! Lol, personaly id send out all the kids and tell them to go in hard !!!.

I would imagine he picks a strong team; or the strongest available.

He has, and we are 2 goals down at 7pm.

A bit low; maybe. I hope I am being unfair and he will come good in the end, but I doubt it.

As for AVB doing better? We shall never know now. Personally; if Sherwood doesn't finish in the top 4 then I believe he could have done better.

Whether AVB, Sherwood or my Auntie are in charge, they are only as good as the players they have to choose from, bit like Hodgeson really, and quite frankly our overall squad is one of promise rather than substance. Last year we were baled out by one player, literally. The 7 players we brought in have not done much to improve things have they ?

That is a good point and I am prepared to give him a chance. I said if he doesn't do well by the end of the season I think he will be gone. When I say well, I mean in the top 4.

Comparing him to AVB; AVB has had managerial experience, Sherwood hasn't. Of course Sherwood has other qualities that AVB hadn't. Like being a pro and knowing the club better than AVB. But whatever I think it is out of my hands and into Levy's and I don't think Levy is that patient. However, I do hope Sherwood does well and gets us into the top 4.

Is there improvement? Yes, he beat Stoke and Southampton and a very poor United. Quite a few teams beat United and they have a worse record than Spurs. Stoke were poor (very poor) and we should have scored more goals against them. We drew at WBA where we should have won.

My problem is with the 442. The top clubs are using more in midfield and I think our formation let us down against Ars*nal. Yes, we are scoring more goals (against poor opposition), but we are also conceding more. From the 5 games I've seen under Sherwood's management I don't think we are good enough to compete with the likes of Ars*nal, City, Chelsea, Everton or Liverpool. Who are contenders to be in the top 4.

No, I don't think so either. Out of the seven Paulinho and Erickson are the best of the bunch. Soldado still isn't scoring goals.
