I would just like to see What Sherwood does over the next 3 or games before I give my full vote. Early days for him still, but we can't have too many games like today (Hull) or it's goodbye top 4.

I hope what  you say is just rumour , Tim should be given  his full time to prove himself with his team, l only hope Levy is not going to use him as his scape goat for the summer.

I think Tim is perfectly set up to be a scapegoat, if we dont make CL spot its down to Tim, if we do its a brilliant appointment by Levy, TS is in a tough situation. I think his persistence in playing Bentaleb when more experienced players are available is no doubt not helping either the lad has talent but lets develop it and not overload him vs City he was out of his depth.

A quote made just yesterday by Van Gaal - Holland boss Van Gaal has not hidden his wish to move to the Premier League and admitted: “Am I still in contact with Spurs? There will come a moment that I can talk about that.

THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

Tim Sherwood's  appointment has been a shrewd move by Levy if you ask me.
At the time of Sherwood's appointment there weren't many managers that we could
have acquired.

Until the world cup is over managers like Louis Van  Gaal are going to stay put.

Therefore appointing within the club, as we have done, could be a good option
as if Tim gets us into the top 4 (unlikely imo as it will be tight and could be down to
goal diff at the end of the day), he is the hero, sadly if he fails then he will be the
scapegoat.

I am right behind Sherwood and will be interested to see how he views Europe
with team selection, as an injury or two particularly upfront, and we are stuffed.

In the press already there are rumours circulating that Sherwood is losing the
support of Levy. What a confidence booster that must not be !!!

So time will tell but I think by August we will be looking at a new manager with
hopefully Sherwood back in his role in the coaching team

If you were Sherwood, would you stay at the club? Well, I wouldn't.

It would depend what offer was on the table in all honesty, I cant imagine that job offers will come flooding in for him!

The next 3 or 4 games will show how good Sherwood really is and he has my support until  the end of Feb.

For me top 4 is still within reach, but there is a big if, I have to admit.

We drew against Hull (which we should have won) and now we’ve got Everton next. Everton went above us on Saturday. Yes, the next couple of games will be crucial for Tim Sherwood. If he gets in the top 4 then maybe he will keep his job. Liverpool drew today – which was good for us – but we’ve got to start winning and scoring goals. And I also agree that we are in a healthy position but to sustain that we’ve got to beat teams like Hull.

On another note I read that Levy is losing faith in Sherwood. Granted that is paper talk, but Levy offered him more players and he rejected that offer. So if we don’t get into the top 4 that will also go against him.
I’ve lived a life that’s full. I’ve travelled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I heard that too and as  mentioned on earlier, Sherwood is happy with the squad and did not need strengthening.
After yesterday's draw, I would say that this could be his downfall unless he has a plan B. B  for Brilliant and not for Bad!

I think you are probably on the right track, Metal. Ultimately Levy wants Van Gaal, maybe he even has a provisional deal in place. Appointing Tim was the best option open to him, as he can remove him at the end of this season without too much fuss or expense.
I like Tim Sherwood, and his attitude. However, he really doesn't have the managerial experience to compete at the highest level, yet. Looking at how Mourinho's Chelsea outplayed Man City last night, brings home our need for an experienced manager like Van Gaal. Tim's time will come, but he has a lot of learning to do in the meantime, and we just cannot wait that long I fear.

Theres only one problem with this, Chelsea still have decent players, and when they buy like MC they get the best, being able to let go a player like Matta sums it up bud :) we tried to do it with Bale, boy do we miss him in our counter attacks. other managers would have to come up with a plan to stop him now they have no fear of us again, Even if we where to get a great manager do you really think Levy is going to splash out another 100M ? not likely so how is any other manager going to get the great players to sign for Spurs?, what insentive is there, no CPL, no trophys , 2nd rate European cup, it is going to be near impossible to do it, as much as it pains me to say, short of another billionaire buying this club we are going to be stuck with scenario for quite some time :'(

Why can't we wait?
If we get another manager in we start the process again which means another 2 years of waiting until he has bought and sold players to get the team he wants then another year for them to gel and by then Levy gets bored and fires his ass and we start again !!!!
We lost to Man City but until Rose was sent off (Red card now recinded) we were only 1-0 down, now I'm not saying we would of won the game or even drew but we had a good goal chalked off and scored against them with 10 men !!!
Why can't we just go with Sherwood for the next couple of seasons let him get experience and gel a team together and see what happens, if we bring in someone else we won't win anything for a couple of seasons anyway so what's the difference !!! The players seem to be responding to him and last saturday seems to have been a bit of a blip but at least we didn't lose !!! Think about it we have been cruising under Redknapp, Jol and many other managers over the years and we always seem to get a game that dosen't make sense it happens to every club its part of football.
Be careful for what you wish for because it may come true !!!!

Come on Mr Levy show some balls for once and stick with Tim and let him show us what he can do !!!

I agree that we need some direction and Mr Levy should say what his plans are for the future.

Levy being a very shrewd and good businessman would never say what his plans are opens him up to all sorts and lets face it Spurs are a business to him, the goal CL consistently which equals more revenue.

I think Levy has the mentality that a big name manager will help attract big name players and keep us supporters happy.  Where as in truth we want to see stability and sustained improvement whilst playing the Spurs way and when needed winning ugly.

I fear TS cards are already marked and so is his replacement with Levy resigned to trying again next season, if TS pulls of a CL spot it will be very interesting to see what unfolds!
THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!
