Ben Alnwick joined Bolton Wanderers on a free transfer on deadline day in August 2016.
Most recently on the books of Peterborough United, the goalkeeper put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal at Bolton.
The 29-year-old started his career with Sunderland, helping the Black Cats win promotion to the Premier League shortly after being handed his senior debut.
Signing for Tottenham Hotspur in January 2007, he enjoyed loan stints with Luton Town, Leicester City, Carlisle, Norwich City, Leeds United, Doncaster Rovers and Leyton Orient having seen first team opportunities limited at Totenham.
The former England Under-21s international later signed for Barnsley permanently in July 2012, but was on the move again the following year as he spent brief stints with both Charlton Athletic and Leyton Orient.
Making the move to Peterborough United in July 2014, Alnwick established himself as the Posh’s first choice goalkeeper as he made 97 appearances during his two seasons at the Peterbrough, and will now offer competition to Mark Howard in goal at Bolton.
