Anyone Else Very Concerned Regarding Kaboul

Kaboul injured again, I fear we need to look elsewhere for a CB in January. 

As good as a defender Kaboul is with great presence, strength, vision and he is a goal threat he is just way too injury prone.

Its looking like another long lay off for him which is hell of a shame.

Would hate to see him get Andertons sick note tag but right now he injury time compared to game time is worse!

It's not a matter of 'I told you so', but I did. Players coming back from serious knee-injuries might actually never fully come back. Ledley King is one of the prime examples and now it seems Kaboul has gone the same road. Unbelievably sad.

With the acquisitions we have made over the summer, I feel reluctant to be too negative on our transfer policy. However, in light of the lack of strengthening the LB role, as well as letting Caulker go, our defence is an area we could have done better in.

Have always rated Kaboul and it is a shame he is not able to get back to how he was. I trust Dawson and Vertonghen, I have not seen Chiriches yet, so cannot comment on his ability, however, we will still need to have another top player fighting for a first team spot.

           That is exactly the point I made towards the end of last season regarding Kaboul and Sandro, the type of knee injuries that they had are very serious and can be career ending, Sandro is looking as though it will not affect him and he has age on his side (24) Kaboul (28 in Jan) on the other hand is approaching the wrong end of his career, I for one hope that he recovers and returns to full fitness sooner rather than later.
           Chariches played against Villa Tues, he started at CH with Verthongen and looked quite comfortable then he moved to RB when Walker was replaced with Dawson and looked very comfortable there, he made some good overlaps, so I think we have adequate cover at the back should Kaboul's injury be a long term one.

LB has been an ongoing issue. If Kaboul is to remain injured than another top quality CB and LB are needed.

I would have been more worried last year. This year all I can say is that I hope he gets fit quick. I also don't think he will be out as long.

It seems Kaboul is not injured as he can be seen training with the rest of the squad and has not been listed to be out as Capoue and Lennon are.

Took a knock apparently , he seems to be made from a very weak type of glass. Quality player I just want him back 100% as he is a hell of an addition!

   I do tend to agree, but only time will tell Riff, as other members of this site keep saying, we as supporters don't know what goes on behind the scenes!!

According to the manager he is training differently and he needs to strength different areas of his body. That is why he's been having problems. According to WHL it is nothing serious.

Kabouls injuries are a bit of a concern but I think he will be ok given time. Being that we have only conceded 2 goals so far this season, and have the best defensive record in Europe at the moment we must be doing something right.

Exactly. As I said, Spurs don't seem to be overtly concerned about Kaboul's injuries. If we were talking last season there would be panic in the air. Now there is just clouds (get it? Oh, never mind )

I haven't heard any report of Kaboul being injured, long or short term!

Does anyone here actually know for sure if he is injured,  just unfit or just took a knock and was taken off in midweek just to be safe?  I think that with with his type of injury (long layoff) combined with his age, He will take a good few more weeks before he can claim his rightful place at the back, unless someone else grabs it whilst still recovering, which may well happen. 

I look forward to him coming back soon.
