Even though we just won today our defence is looking good.

We still need reinforcements up front!

   I disagree Joolz, we have Defoe and Adebayor, I don't understand why AVB insists that Ade trains with the youth team, he is on big money, give the guy a chance, make him earn it, I think AVB needs to swallow his pride and bring him back into the senior squad. :nods: :nods:
You're right. I read we've been linked with some Schalke reject (can't remember the name and can't be arsed to look up either) and I really think Adebayor could be a better solution. Yes, his brother died recently and he's had a bereavement leave, but I think he'll play some part for us. Maybe not in a few weeks, but later this season definitely.

Unless he is sold I see it as you do. He will get a crack at the whip as the season goes on.

For the first time in my living memory, we have the best defensive record in the prem. I'm not so sure it will last though, as I agree about Naughton. We absolutely need good cover at both LB and RB.

  I read somewhere that the reason he isn't training with the 1st Team is because AVB and Ade almost came close to blows, I don't know if there is any truth in it or whether it is just scuttle-butt. :-\ :-\

  Until he is integrated back into the 1st Team Squad, I don't see how he will get fit, let alone get any game time, as I said AVB needs to swallow his pride and get him back into the Senior Squad, cos as sure as Eggs are Eggs if he doesn't we will pick up some injuries to the remaining strikers and then we will be in the Sh one T  :nods: :nods: :nods:

Very true, with Defoe injured atm, we need everyone fit and rearing to go and that includes Ade (£100K a week to train with the reserves!!). I reckon, given the opportunity, he may well surprise us.

I know it's early days yet, but Soldado hasn't scored from open play in the PL yet, has he.

Defoe is playing in the Villa game.
I’ve lived a life that’s full. I’ve travelled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

Joolz you are right but I don't think he is that far away from scoring, he has come close a few times and its taken a couple of good saves to thwart him, I reckon once he scores one he will score PLENTY.  :nods: :nods: :nods:

Soldado is very top quality, and make no mistake, once the goals start going in we will see why we paid as much as we did. He is constantly in the right place at the right time, his first touch is good, and it really is only a matter of time.

And by the way, how good were Paulinho's 2 goals this week.

I'll go along with that. He should have scored on Saturday if it wasn't for the good goalkeeping. He's talent so it won't be long before he is scoring consistently.

I agree, it's just a matter of time before he scores and I will put as the first goalscorer v Chelsea.

    RSS61,
          Both Paulinho's goals were top notch, we are now starting to see why we bought him, although he isn't renowned as a goalscoring midfielder more for his defensive qualities, mind you he has scored a few for Brazil.

Spot on. With all the players playing a part we've got something to look forward to; hopefully we can also turn that into trophies.

I like the fact that most of the new players have scored already. Last year we got our goals mainly from one source.

Also we retain possession far better in midfield, which in turn eases the pressure on the defence and will ultimately help us to break down the bus parkers

Which tells us that we made the right decision.

       Whilst I was disappointed that Bale left, and I thank him for his efforts, I will say to him what I say to all players, " If you don't want to play for SPURS, we don't want you, so f**k OFF, we only want Players who want to pull on the White Shirt with the Cockerel and wear it with Pride".
        I am sick and tired of reading about Gareth Bale, he is HISTORY as far as I am concerned.

I get the train into work with a gooner . All summer he`s been moaning about wenger and the lack of quality in their squad but you should have heard him when they signed ozil ! All of a sudden wenger`s the greatest manager in the world and Ars*nal are the best team in the world . He also had the f**king audacity to say that we`ve wasted our money on overpriced europa league players !!! I soon put the c*nt right  :tickedoff:
If your not spurs you`re dead to me

I work with a couple of Gooners, same story, both full of it atm. Can't wait until someone bring them down. Pity Swansea didn't do it today.

Soooon!
