The match finally ended 5-2 and I saw some promises from Spurs. This won't be the team that starts the premier league. Over all a good work out.

With the team we had out and considering it was a friendly.... does it matter?

I agree; but I would rather lose now and iron out any problems than play silly buggers at the start of the season.

Monaco had a full side on anyway. Let's see who AVB plays next Saturday, it would be good to finish on a high.

      It was really good to see that we put out our strongest XI against Monaco last night, our two top centre backs, little wonder we lost 5-2. Good to see AVB is taking the pre-season friendlies really seriously, I wonder if he is going to take the season as seriously?

Mate, don't forget we don't have any fit senior centre-backs and that is why we sold Caulker (who was closest to being one). I'd say we have an excellent season ahead and after all we don't know what's going on behind the scenes (who are the next five players out of the door before replacements have come in etc.).

Pre season isn't about taking things seriously but trying out different players and new players in different position and how they perform. Overall I thought there was a lot of promise.

I know everybody is talking about Caulker but I am sure Spurs have their reasons and what will go in his place. The transfer window isn't over yet so there is plenty of time.

  I beg to differ pre-season friendlies are primarily about players getting match practice in order to get MATCH-FIT with just 2 weeks to go to the opening game, they are not about trying players in other positions AVB should by now know their capabilities.
