We've finally got our striker (providing he passes his medical). It has been announced on the Spurs web page.

Brilliant news. 

All we now have to do is sort Bale out and I see a fantastic season ahead of us. If Bale goes - and it looks likely at this point - then the money we get will help build a big and brilliant team.

Great news about Soldado and the business being done early is what we have been calling for for years.

But disagree with you about Bale, hope he doesn't make any statements until a final decision has been made. Any comment he makes will only fuel the media frenzy and alienate him from the Spurs fans. His silence may suggest his desire to move but also shows that he respects the team and the proper protocol for how things should be done. Wish more players had that much credibility and respect.

Think we have got a fox in the box. Great finisher! Takes it well on the volley and looks quite tenacious. Would be really good if he was playing alongside Bale though

Yep I take your point about Bales silence but I'm just sick and tired of reality being played out in the media, who at best distort it. I just wish we could hear from the players themselves once in a while. Even a " I love Spurs and have no intention of going" comment or a" this is a chance in a lifetime" one. It would just take all the power away from the media ,especially the Spanish one, and allow for some clarity.
I also realise that this is not an appropriate discussion for this thread, so I apologise.

Soldado is class and at 28, at the peak of his job. I would expect him to pile in a good 15+ goals in his first season.
We still need a couple more and as it looks pretty much like Bale will go, (unfortunately), I hope we spend a big chunk of the dosh on some quality players and built the team we have all been waiting for for YEARS!!

You could be right there. It's not quite there atm, but talks are that he could sign on Tuesday. We'll see

Something tells me it is not as clear cut as the papers make out. We hear nothing from the club, player or manager.
