Bloody hell, Steven Caulker has been sold to Cardiff City. So, as I see it, Kaboul is still recovering, Vertonghen is injured and the only available CB is Dawson. This club is being run by idiots. At least they bought Soldado...

Yes it makes no sense at all presumably we have a couple coming in but surely it would be better to get them first. Caulker is a decent player but not the finished article. He was good cover though I wish him all the best.

Only just seen this, this is very strange as we are short in this department. Even if all the players were fit we were only working on the minimum requirements of 4 CBs. However, I think with the way things have been moving I am optimistic this will be sorted sooner rather than later. The player we have been linked with is Vlad Chiriches, but this could just be media hype as usual.

Am I the only one who is madly excited about the prospect of having a defender from Romania named Vlad in the team as being nothing less than very exciting. I am praying that it becomes a reality.
Having said that I am concerned about one thing.
Bale leaves and we use the money to buy in at least 4 or 5 top international players, that makes us different from Chelsea and Man city how exactly?

It doesn't look good about Vlad joining from this report, but I also read that the transfer could be back on. So believe what you want!

I've heard different stories concerning Vlad, depending on what paper you read.
