The Spurs have signed Belgian international winger Nacer Chadli from FC Twente for €7m. The 23-year-old can play on both flanks and up front. He's not an out-and-out striker, though. Interestingly he managed to score against us in both Champions League matches.

That is two and I expect to hear of more signings. But we are starting to send a message. We still need another striker or two (if they sell one of our current strike force).

Chadli is a good signing. He's young and has scored quite a few goals.

I would be keen to know if he is a squad addition or intended to replace an existing player.

Either way at 7mill euros hell of a good buy!

I'd take him, but it won't happen.

People had never heard of Rooney and Bale (or even George Best) until they heard of them.

According to those in the know he is a very talented winger and has scored a few goals. Squad player or not AVB said there is more to come. We need a good squad if we are going to take a crack at the title. And the way the squad is looking I fancy our chances; and that is even with no striker at the MOMENT.

He has played for Belgium 13 times. Look him up!

By all accounts he is a good player; but we shall see how he performs for Spurs. A lot of great players have joined great clubs and failed, while unknowns have achieved miracles; Bale is a good example of this.

I will keep an open mind re this guy and see how he goes.
The point I was making is that he is not the sort of player that headlines even if he has played 13 times for Belgium hence my comment re squad player

To be fair we should keep an open mind to all Spurs new recruits until they prove themselves. And they prove themselves by helping Spurs win things and get in the top 4.
