I think that if we do get him, which is looking more and more positive, then we will have as good a midfield as any of the top 4 sides.

At last, Levy seems to be taking notice of the manager, and bringing in some quality early in the window ( its not actually even open yet)

Now, 2 strikers and a left back and we really can go places IMO.

I reckon you are bang on there. If we play 4-3-3 then Paulino could be the spark we have lacked, but unless there are 2 top drawer strikers to match Bale's quality, then the top 4 will stay as they are.

I really cant believe that Levy is able to con both AVB and Bale into staying without the reassurance that the 2 strikers everyone, Levy included, knows we need will be brought in.
This theme dates back to when Harry stated that he needed a striker and a CB, and he got Saha and Nelson. Last seasons transfers in began positively with 3 top class additions in Lloris Verthonghen and Dembele. 4 more as stated above is all we need. As you say, I think that AVB is looking to play a fast moving 4-3-3 system. David Villa for one is used to this fluid style of play.

Paulino may be a target for Real Madrid, if that is true we may be out of the running :(

If we were able to get Baines, Paulino, Villa and one other to play Right forward and we could challenge the top 4 during their year of uncertainty.
Maybe next year...

Sadly, we won't get Baines. He stated he wouldn't even join Moyes at Man United as he loves his life at Everton. Paulinho, though, scored the winner in yesterday's semi-final - I can see that adding to his price.

I heard he wants to sign but Chelsea might try to undermine our bid.

I heard Madrid may make a move to but that may just be out of spite for not selling them Bale. So much for the alliance we supposedly had with them. Paulinho has been saying some nice things about us so it looks hopeful and apparently Villa is quite keen to come to.

I've just been reading on the BBC website  and that one of the stipulations of Paulinho joining Spurs was that he was assured that Bale will be staying. If that is the case then all this paper talk is rubbish and Bale will be staying. On top of that AVB has publically stated that he was assured that Bale will be staying. Taking all that into account the papers must know this so are just causing trouble.

Just One question:- Is Villa the Long or Short term answer?
1 In my opinion, he is too old and is now injury prone.
2 He will want too much money (Wages)
Personally I would rather see us spend the money on a player that will be a long term investment.

Only believe Paulinho will sign when his holding up the shirt for the press, I think he will end up at Madrid
With regard toVilla he is still a good player but his best days are gone

Yes, his best years were 2-5 years ago, but there's no denying he is still capable of scoring more goals per week than our present strikers managed in a season.

I have no idea what a DDOS attack is but it sounds a bit like a girl with large breasts attacking us? Is there any video of the attack as i would like to watch that one day?

You can't argue with that. Only one reservation; they had great expectations for  Emmanuel Adebayor and look what happened to him. Oh, well... second time lucky!!

I hope so. If that is the case it will put us on the right road to actually fighting for the Title, not just in the top 4. If he comes it might open the flood gate for other such players of his calibre.

It is ok having a top stadium (to be built) but without challenging for top honours it will be like asking a one arm man to drive a top range car in competitions.

I would say he is the short term answer to our long term problem. We need to have winners with vital experience at the top. We have too often stumbled on the final hurdle and think that someone like Villa would be ideal to steady the ship and show the way to deal with pressure. I have said before that we should have one experienced striker and one young up and coming yet already quality player. Villa would be a hit with me as long as he is one of two new strikers.
Maybe next year...
