I wouldn't say no to Kanoute coming back to the lane, but i doubt he'd want to play second fiddle to Berba.

First team wise, I don’t want a whole lot of changes, bringing lots of new players in from overseas that are new to the EPL, and seeing us having another season of the team gelling.

I would like to see a top strike partner for Berbatov, so either Keane or Defoe leaving. Not much help, as I can’t think of anyone who would realistically come. Martins maybe, but I can’t see the barcodes letting him go. That’s one change for the starting line up.

Secondly, I would like to add a creative midfielder and Sneidjer would fit the bill, played on the left of midfield. Would move Lennon to the right and Malbranque to the bench (nothing against him, I just think Sneidjer would be a step up). That’s two changes.

And finally a left back. Gareth Bale or Leighton Baines for me. That’s three first team changes.

To the squad, I would also add a top centre back to share defensive duties with Dawson and King. Someone like Woodgate or Metzelder. The thing is all three would expect regular first team football and I don’t like rotating CBs. But we can’t depend upon King remaining injury free and we need some class to step in to his boots when he is not around. Gardner can go.

Also would replace Mido with Yakubu or Ashton, both of whom have shown they can cut it in the EPL.

A couple of youngsters too.

How about Saviola? he's just the quality we need. Yes he's small but better than Defoe IMO. Plus I reckon him and Berba could work well together.

Tevez? would be awesome alongside Berbatov full of tricks, but needs to find the net more and it would probably mean one of the little fellas leaving, I like both of them.

Making loyal sounds but I really cant see him slumming it.
There be dragons

And even that is assuming that Barfsley and QPR survive this season, which one or both may yet not. Point taken, though. ;) And I agree. Tevez is too good for Championship.

Somehow though I don't think he'll be staying in England.

As for getting a "big forward," I would have suggested Rob Friend if not for the fact that he can't seem to keep his elbows to himself and the fact that he's a season and a half removed from his best season (single-handedly keeping Molde from relegation with his ten league goals and scoring the NM-winning goal in Norway). He's 6'4" and around fifteen stone. The only other Canadian forwards over 6' are Dave Simpson (6'1") and Joevannie Peart (6'6"), and neither are anywhere near good enough for Spurs.

I'm sure we were linked with VDV a few seasons ago..

He'd be a good player to have, although our midfield is pretty cramped at the moment, and would be too disappointed if we only ended up getting a decent left winger and centre back. The rest of the team is pretty solid for me, still got plenty of young talent yet for the future.

Now VDV and Sjnieder would be a treat and I guess JOL being dutch can lure them. Only prob is the hefty pricetag on VDV and Barca negotitating with Ajax for Wesley. You guys should move quick and snatch Wesley at least ;) .
I used to think that being lazy was bad for me .......  So I gave up thinking

Replace Midio and Lee. Tell Ghaly too calm down abit, don't be so lippy and aggressive to other players in other teams. A left sided winger is needed, buy one, then go and find 2 or 3 too put in the youth team too train up because their kids and if we don't need em sell em.

In my opinion, it has only been recently, say the last 5 or 6 games that Lee has been playing hes made any impact on the squad and even then he gets himself in great positions like he did against Chelsea in the first leg of the FA Cup, but he doesn't have the confidence too skin people like Lennon or Keano. Plus he is prone to make mistakes, look at Man United at White Hart Lane last season, he gifted Rooney 2 goals, which cost us 3 points which went towards allowing those dirty ****s West Ham to have the final say on our Euro dreams.
