RSS61,
With regards to your comment about bashing AVB, whilst I agree to a certain extent regarding his performance in his 1st season in charge, and again I will say(for the god knows how many time) I am still to be convinced about AVB, "Yes he has done a reasonable job with the players that he has had at his disposal", but, nevertheless he still has to take some responsibility for our failure to finish in the Top 4, he did say that "Anything less than finishing in the Top 4 would be a Failure" well unfortunately we didn't finish Top 4, so by his words, the season was a failure, and as I said, in MY opinion, and it is only my opinion, he (AVB) got his priorities wrong, very wrong, he put too much emphasis on the Europa League and it cost us very dearly in the PL, we can only hope and pray that he does not make a similar mistake next season.

If we have a strong enough squad then we can compete in all the comps next year. After all, Chelsea competed in CL, won Europa and still finished strongly in the Prem.

RSS61,
I totally agree with everything that you have said, how can anyone with a modicom of common sense compare our present team with that of 1967, but I am sure that we will be accused of dwelling in the past, unfortunately we now have a Chairman who is only interested in making money for his shareholders, whereas in 1967 we had a Chairman and board who weren't frightened to invest in players in order to bring success to the Club.
In my opinion this season has been a failure, we managed to achieve our highest points tally since 1967, SO WHAT, we reached the Quarter Finals of Europa League at what cost, I'll tell you, it cost us Top 4 and a place in Champions League next season, why because AVB put too much importance on trying to win it, he got his priorities WRONG, VERY WRONG, this should have been his list of priorities:-
1. Win the Premiership
2. If we fail to win it finish TOP 4(Thus qualifying for The Champions League)
3. Win the FA Cup
4. Win Europa League (Give younger players experience)
This is only MY opinion, but I also think that it is an opinion shared by the vast majority of Spurs Supporters, you only had to see the expressions on their faces at the end of the game on Sunday to realise that.
We now have to suffer a summer of constant fear of the possibility of losing our BEST PLAYER, and please don't anyone dare tell me that we won't, speculation is already rife and the season only finished two days ago.

You are as in many cases spot on the money Mr Finch, it dosen't matter if we had 100 points we failed to finish in the top 4 and therefore run the risk of losing players rather than signing the quality we need !!! Another season of signng the likes of Dempsey and Sigardsson and Voice defending AVB and Levy for nearly getting there and  nearly signing some great players !!!!

 :'(

I defend AVB because he has shown he is a good manager. Maybe not to you, but most fans accept him as a good manager and want him to stay.

As for Mr Levy; if not him then who do you want? I can't seeing billionaires knocking at the gates of Spurs to take over. If they were then I would want that person to take over.

To be convinced of any manager it will take time. Don't forget that Ferguson was at United for 4 years - before he won anything - and there were plenty who were convinced that he was the wrong man for the job. In fact if he hadn't beaten West Ham in the cup there was talk about sacking him. All managers need time, even the great ones. For what AVB has achieved in his first season should be congratulated. More so as you blame Mr Levy for not putting in more money to strengthen the team. Therefore he has done a brilliant job.

Voice,
You are now becoming tiresome, why do you feel the necessity to answer a post that is clearly not in response to one of yours, not only do you reply to it, you insist on posting exactly the same thing that you have posted on god knows how many occasions, in reply to god knows how many posts, please take the hint, all you are doing is increasing your post total and boring the absolute bejazus out of a lot of people, as I have posted before Blah  Blah  Blah.

For once I agree with you Voice. Being successful is not trading one thing off against another. It's not to much to ask for a player to play two games a week, and therefore there is no reason why we can't finish top four and win a trophy. To be honest if I believed otherwise I would stop watching football.
AVB OUT, AND TAKE LEVY WITH YOU

An open forum means we can answer any post we feel needs to be commented on. As you do, and has you have done to my posts many times (which I welcome). If it is private then that is what PMs are for.
As for “tiresome”; that depends on who is reading it and their feelings towards the writer to that post.
Yes, I have repeated myself because the particular post that I was replying to needed a direct answer. I’ve also noticed you and others have repeated themselves. Which I do not condemn but understand the reasons for it.
As for “boring”; we are all bored by people we are hostile against. But where there are some who are bored, there are others that enjoy.  I have found your repeated “blah, blah, blah” repetitive, but defend your right to express yourself in the way you choose. I am not offended by your comments; they just make me smile. And that can be only a good thing, amongst so much gloom in today’s society. So please never let me stop you expressing yourself as you see fit.
