Someone who can hit the ball very sweetly, a player who is currently the cataylst of our team, the one and only Gareth Bale.

All other teams hands off Bale is THFC!
THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

I have just had a heated (short) conversation with one of my colleagues, a long standing Man U supporter, the most bias of the worst kind you could ever encountered in your life. So the conversation was mostly about Giggs being the best ever LW player, Bale not being anywhere good enough to clean his boots and Spurs being a one man team etc... which to me sounds like a contradiction in terms. Never mind the fact that Bale is almost 15 years younger and That Giggs is on his way out.. So we stopped here.  :tickedoff:

Strange how you can never reason with a Man U fan! jealousy, that's all. :ohyeah:

       I can imagine it would have been like pulling teeth, and of course he would have reminded you that Spurs are not in the Champions League, maybe you should have spat in his one eye in the middle of his forehead.
       Christ they are not only the most boring, but also the most uneducated, they don't even speak the Queens English, poor bastards.

I went to the last two matches and Bale is on fire. He's one of a few top great class players in the world today. Let us hope he can carry on with his fine form.
I’ve lived a life that’s full. I’ve travelled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

Yes. Spurs have got to build the team around him.

I don't think we should build our team around him.

1) If he gets injured what do we then do?
2) Hopefully we will keep him nut if he is tempted away what then?

For now play around and to his strengths that is for sure.

The trouble is most managers end up building a team around a certain player. I agree with what you are saying and we need a strong team squad.

ManU was built around Cristiano Ronaldo who then left and the club is still in the title hunt. So, what I'm saying is that no player is irreplaceable, the question is how quickly he will be replaced. We were in big trouble when Berbatov and Keane left and we ended up Bent. This season we're doing fine despite the fact we sold Modrić and van der Vaart.

Yes, but this time around we've got a better manager.

Indeed. I think the quality of a manger will determine how he will overcome the loss of his key player(s).

Rumours about Bale leaving in the summer are rife, but for the moment he is still with and when we do qualify for the CL, I would hope that he would want to stay and it will be up to Levy to resist pocketing the £50M to keep him for another year or 2.

Theres no denying the talent the lad has, Let hope we can hold on to him for a while yet. But I think whether we do or not is pretty simple, If he continues at his current level but we as a team do not start challenging and winning trophies then Bale will be off soon rather than later.

Lets hope his form at the moment can push us in to a top 4 places, but hopefully other can push on so that we are not so relient on Bale. Lennon has had some good performances, hopefully he can push on a level too. Ade needs to up his game big time. I like him as a striker and I feel he does a lot of the donkey work such as chasing down defenders but his goal return has to improve. With 11-12 games to go, if he can grab 8 goals from now till the end of the season I think that will be enough to put us in the top 4.
