We are not the ony one fearing missing out on the CL. I dare say that Ars*nal, Everton and probably even Chelsea are feeling the same!

Its a big season for us, more bigger for us than the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.  We need CL IMO to give us any hope of keeping key players (Bale) and to help attract key targets not to mention give Levy the confidence to spend based on the CL income.

The likes of Chelsea and Liverpool are not so dependent on CL revenue.

AVB has certainly proved so far he is up to the job, if we get a CL footi slot this season I would believe we could have a very good few years ahead of us with AVB, key players and improved revenue.
THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

Personally I think that AVB is doing a good job, but that doesn't mean that I like him, however, were we to miss out on CL next year, and I hope to goodness we don't, I think we can safely say that Bale will leave for either Spain or Italy, and you can't blame him, then questions will have to be asked of Levy, if we make Top 4, then I think there is every chance that Bale will stay and maybe, just maybe Levy will make the funds available to strengthen our squad, having said that he didn't exactly spend a lot the last time we qualified for CL, did he?
Metal, I have to agree with what you said, that if we do qualify then it could be the start of a successful few years ahead, but Levy must loosen the purse strings, and if he is going to be the person doing the negotiating re: Transfers, then he has to start being realistic with his offers, and also not leave everything until the last day of the window, because we have all seen how successful that has been haven't we? Either that or let someone else do it!!

Looking at the state Man City are in, then spending huge amounts of money is a risky business.

Basically, a bunch of hight earning individuals do not make a team.

I think most of us will agree with that comment

Personally I think it is in our hands. The top 4 spots are between ourselves, Ars*nal, Chelsea and City. We've also got to play those teams and if we can win or at least not lose then we shall get there.

And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

Exactly that ..once again it is up to the team to perform.
They have the strength to do it, should do it and hopefully will do it.

With the fear of being a killjoy, what is it that makes everyone want CL football. We are never going to win it, Levy will charge a fortune for the tickets, and we all know that any additional revenue will be split amongst the shareholders rather than be spent on the squad.

We need to be in it to have a chance of winning it, saying we will never win it is just daft!

Also with CL footi it will help us with our domestic league title challenge as we have a better chance of attracting our targets as they get to play in the elite euro comp as well as having a more substantial income for us to play with!

The bottom line is we cant stay as we are as if we stay just outside of the euro elite we will only go backwards over time and very quickly!  Key targets wont want to come and play for us, our key players will want to depart, youth stars we develop will be purchased by teams with buying power and elite standing.

The only way is forward and CL footi is the platform to which we will have any chance to achieve it!

And this is based on what? Your hatred of the manager and Director? You are not a killjoy; just that we know you very well.

Watching Porto play Malaga last night, although Mouthino scored a decent goal, his overall game made me think that he is no better than people we already have, such as Dembele and now Holtby. To think that we were ready to pay 20 million and bust the wage structure for him. Just another example of how easy it is to waste millions on players who are not really any better than those we have.
