I bet it made you smile?
I’ve lived a life that’s full. I’ve travelled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

The thing about supporting another club other than your club is purely incidental.

My wife comes from Leeds and as a resut I often went to Elland Road with her Dad ( before we got married) and I "got to like and cheered" Leeds when apprpriate, which was not very often, I may add.  I also went to watch Wednesday on occasions with her uncle in Sheffield. Thank god those days are gone and I have never followed either of them since!

Now, I watch my local team made up of some of my younger friends, colleagues or older friends kids. Now, that I can support and enjoy!  Real fun clean football! real interaction with the players, a chat with the wifes on the touchline, a few soft boos at the overweight ref and a pint in the pub after the game.  :nods:

So if I didn't support Spurs (God forbid!) You could say that,  that's the kind of football I would support.

Obviously none of us would support a team other than Spurs. because once you blood has turned a colour it should never change. You can like other sides and hope that they win, but never against your true team.

However, the point here is not, who would you change your support to if you had to, that is a moot point. Rather, if circumstances were different at the time of your blood changing, (born in a different town, went to see a different first game etc.) looking around at the teams, who do you respect and appreciate? If you are unable to do this, then a very narrow vision have you must.  ;)
Maybe next year...

To answer your question Dimexi, if Spurs disappear from the face of the earth tomorrow, there may well be other teams I would respect and appreciate, but my passion would always remain with Spurs.

It was a perfectly polite question and i think most of us took it in the sprirt it was meant .I can`t speak for everyone mind............ :hide:  .

I lived in enfield as a kid and went to watch them a few times in the eighties when they went all the way to the f.a cup 4th round .Most enfield fans had spurs as thier second team , a bit like when we played stevenage last season and most of thier fans followed spurs as well .
If your not spurs you`re dead to me

To me the question was always about who would support if Spurs disappeared ( instead of) and not as well as for whatever reason!

QPR I should think as my Grandma was a big fan. Fortunately I was taken to Spurs by my Dad at an early age, although I still have a soft spot for Rangers. I certainly hope they survive in the Prem at least.

I sincerely hope so too, if only for Arry. Some of us still have a soft spot for him and it would be good to meet again next season.

No one would wish any club to be relegated, the only exception being Ars*nal, but there again maybe not, Who would want to miss the North London Derbies?

He is part of Spurs history and he left on a high. Which is more than we can say for managers like Hoddle, Ardiles, Francis and a few others.

I would like to see Ars*nal relegated, and yes QPR survive but I can't see it happening. I think QPR will get relegated at the end of the season, along with Aston Villa. I think Reading will survive.

I wouldn't want Ars*nal to be relegated. Unless it was just for one season. All the other seasons I would like them to finish 17th, or failing that any position as long as it is below us.
Maybe next year...

Yeah, I'd like that as well, an annual struggle, battling with the bottom 3 clubs and then celebrate for staying up on goal difference.

Well I can dream, can't I
