Also read AVB's alleged comments in The Sun.

Have also read that due to Sandro's  injury he might be after
Yann M'Villa from Rennes and/or Mohamed Diame from West Ham.

Add in William to that and its papertalk to me and time will tell as
to what happens this January.

 :-\
God, please, no! M'Vila is is one bad apple, Google him if you don't believe me.

I was also told this by various sources at Tottenham who are not connected.
No disrespect, but most people working for Spurs are like any other people working in any office, and in every office there's lots of gossip an everyone claims to know everything, when in fact they probably know nothing.

I think we are all jumping to the wrong conclusions, including myself.  No one knows how many offers , if any, have been made and of all the names linked to us , how many,  if any, are still in the hat.

That said, there is still 16 bloody long days and no hint of anything concrete! Before all we know, AVB could be keeping quiet so as not to raise any suspicion to other club potentially seeking the same player(s). It would make sense, wouldn'it?

Some big names have gone very quiet in the Press all of a sudden and I believe that 1 or 2 of those will be revealed at the very last moment.

This is one of Levy's transfer party trick and he will do it again in this window.  :tickedoff:

You are correct if I had just came to my conclusion in isolation, however, in the case of Harry and Mr Levy I was told this information by somebody who works at Spurs. Granted you could argue that how do I know this information is sound. The reason I think it is pretty accurate is because I was also told this by various sources at Tottenham who are not connected. Of course I made an educated guess by putting certain bits together. On top of that this has also been said in various papers. But whatever way you view it it doesn’t change what I said.

Big signings or not he and Mr Levy will be judged at the end of the season; in favour of AVB it would be his first season.

Being told by someone who 'works' at Spurs doesn't make it accurate. Unless that person was either Levy, Harry or the tea lady who went into the meeting by accident and decided to sit down and take notes. Being told a similar thing by others not connected to Spurs is even less reliable. Maybe they were also told by Doris? Making an educated guess is no different from what anyone else has done. We have all heard things, put together our own reasons and all think we are correct. But the truth is we are all in the dark because the news which came from Spurs was void. I am not even going to comment on what was said in the papers as it needs no response regarding accuracy.

Oh and no it doesn't change what you said, just states that what you have said has no more or no less credibility or truth than anyone else's.

And yes they will be judged at the end of the season but I just hope that that judgment is one that makes me think. 'I got it wrong, we didn't need a top striker and an attacking midfielder because blow me, the squad we have stormed to 3rd spot, well done AVB and Mr Levy I will be more supportive of your actions next year when we are challenging for the title!'
Maybe next year...

Agreed! But with Parker returning, do we have to replace Sandro or do you think we will be able to cover that position? I would rather other areas were strengthened and improved first.
Maybe next year...

I agree with you we don't know the truth and probably never will, it is all supposition. :nods: :nods:

How do you know it is a crock of s**t? You know nothing about me or who I know. Like your comments about AVB, your comments about me are not based on intelligence but prejudice. Of course it could be bulls**t, at the same time it could be true. Even I had come over differently to you – instead of criticising you for your attitude against AVB (for being a boo-boy) – I have no doubt that your comments would have been totally different. You are a person that is easily influenced and manipulated; i.e. your prejudices influence your thinking.

A few years ago I used to write for various football magazines (or fanzines) so got to know many people behind the scenes. I suggest in future that you don’t make ridiculous comments without knowing all the facts.

As for "educated guess" that is an expression. A dictionary definition.

English

Noun

educated guess (plural educated guesses)
1.An estimate, a guess value based on experience or theoretical knowledge.
I’ve lived a life that’s full. I’ve travelled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

Exactly and I agree with you. My information doesn't come from office staff but from various sources.

That is true, but my information comes from various sources. However, there is a difference between somebody who just draws that conclusion from their own thinking and actually speaking to various people connected to the club. You are right; it could be a loud of rubbish, but I am pretty confident that I am nearer to the truth than other viewpoints. But like everybody on here we all put our two pennies worth into the pot and that is what I have done. I am sure the truth will come out one day. I am sure you have no objects to me saying what I know? Beyond that you must make your own judgement.

The sentiment of we could be title contenders is one that we could of had for the last 2 seasons if Mr Levy had backed 'Arry, but he chose to paddle in the shallows rather than diving right in !!!!
Alot now depends on Mr Levy backing AVB fully, his man, but we are 17 days in and haven't done anything again while 'Arry at QPR snatches one of our rumoured targets..... I'm just concerned that Mr Levy wants to do everything on the cheap !!!!

 :(

How do you know what went on between Harry and Mr Levy? Whether he backed him or not. Your speculation is based on your position of seeing the other two participates. You don’t like Mr Levy so your conclusions will never be favourable or fair. If Mr Levy didn’t back him I am sure there would be very good reasons. You like Harry, dislike AVB so Mr Levy is the bogeyman. The bottom line is you haven’t got a clue want went on between Mr Levy or anything to do with what is going on behind the scenes. There are thousands of Spurs know-it-all’s who actually know f**k all.

As for 17 days in; again how do you know nothing has been done? We will know if anything is being done by the end of the transfer window.

Thanks for pointing out I know f**k all Voice, I appreciate that but Remy has scored today and apparently according to a radio report this afternoon they are on the verge of signing M'Vila !!!

We still haven't signed anyone and I don't think we will due to an interview done with AVB about 3 weeks ago on Football Focus or Sky Sports when he stated that he didn't think we would be doing any business, straight from AVB's mouth !!!

Yes I like 'Arry and I'm not an AVB fan but I do appreciate he is starting to do a good job, teh problem is Levy he does not like to spend and back his managers unless he totally agrees with their views and can get the player for a "steal" !!!!!

I live in hope of a stella signing but I'm not going to hold my breath !!!

Actually he worded what he said very carefully. In other words it is still possible we could sign somebody.

And how do you come by this information? You don’t actually know but base your assumptions on your dislike of Mr Levy and AVB.

I am living in hope that we finish well. I am also working on the assumption we are not privileged to what he will do or not do.

Voice,
Generally most things that you do write are a crock of s**tE, so I made an educated guess.
Why is that you can make assumptions,  but if anyone else does they are either fools or misinformed.

AVB should just forget about Chelsea.  Everyone knows how the club operates. He must have gone in there with open eyes.

It is a crock of s**te to you because I had criticised you and you didn't like it so this is your way of retaliation. But because you think it doesn't make it so.

Everybody else can and does make assumptions; and they are welcome. In your case your assumptions are tainted. You have said on here that you don't like AVB and never will; no matter what he achieves. Therefore your assumptions can never be fair and opened minded. We should always keep an open mind and be able to admit we are wrong. Sadly that seems beyond you. Which I find sad.
