So I have I and since then, we have signed Ade, VDV and Dempsey, if the last 2 can be classed as strikers. We also resigned Defoe from Portsmouth and tried a couple of younsters.

My point here is that we need a proven striker who can break down defenses instead of pussy-footing around the bus parked in the box, like Ade is doing atm!

I'm sure you knew what I meant, but were only trying to make joke!

Joolz I totally agree with what you have said and yes we do need a proven striker but I fear Mr Levy will not pay the money for the man we need. It would help if we could replace Modric with a creative midfielder, I know we have Dembele but he dosen't seem to have that killer pass in him at the moment and to be honest we can't afford to wait for him to find it !!!!!

I cant see him going on strike and sulking for the move though like he did with us as he just wouldnt get away with at at Real the same.

By the sounds of it nobody would notice if he did strike. Hard to refuse to play when you are not even selected.

I really wouldnt like to see Modric come back to the EPL anytime soon and certainly not Manc or Chavs or any top 6 team as he would make a massive difference to them.  Did he get on well with HR I would settle for him going to QPR
