Well he, himself, has begun his tirade by saying we haven't done anything wrong = DOH. :tickedoff:

Just another rant from SAF. I don't think we will hear much more about this.

What do you all think of Dembas bargain sale price to Chelsea, I reckon they got a real bargain there at 7.5 mill especially considering they sold Sturridge for about 12 mill.

TBH I think we would have done well to secure Demba he would have fitted our style beautifully!  Never mind hopefully we will get someone even better!

Reportedly £7.5 million was the release fee in his contract, so Newcastle didn't have any choice. Stupid things these release clauses really...  >:(

Wow that is super low, someone clearly didnt think he would be such a success when he joined Newcastle!

Hate to see Chelsea bag a bargain much prefer they spend out amounts like Torres and get the same results 50 mill down the s**tter lol

That £7m release clause has been in his contract for the past 2 transfer Windows, I remember Harry was the first to let that one out of the bag last January. After he went public with that I was pretty  surprised that we never went in for him then to be honest, especially as he was in such hot form then.

Newcastle did sign him on a free transfer, so have made a tidy profit. But yeah , it is strange that the clause was in there in first place as it seems very few players in the EPL seem to have release clauses.

So, Togo have confirmed that Adebayor will play in African Cup of Nations. Does it mean we'll bring in another striker? I sure hope so.

apparently we are in for Remy, this may be just paper talk but at 8 mill worth a punt dont ya think?

Other clubs apparently in for him are QPR and Newcastle so surely we are teh most attractive option out of that bunch?

Holtby could be coming early, £1.6 M now to be released. Levy will probably try and get it down to half .

Or pay nothing and wait until the end of the season.
I’ve lived a life that’s full. I’ve travelled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

That could be the more likely outcome and even then he could still ask for a retro discount  :2funny:

Or chuck in half an eaten bag of Doritos which was opened 3 days ago and Jenas?
