Paul Robinson is confident Tottenham Hotspur can qualify for the Uefa Cup again next season.

Spurs' European adventure ended at the hands of holders Sevilla last week and Robinson is keen for another continental experience.

Martin Jol's side are currently in eighth position in the Premiership, but are level on points and have a game in hand on seventh-placed Portsmouth.

England keeper Robinson feels that extra match could prove crucial and is optimistic the club can claim a spot in the top seven.

"I believe we'll get there, yeah," said Robinson on Sky Sports News.

"We have a game in hand on both of the teams above us and Chelsea and Man Utd helped us out at the weekend by making sure they are both in the cup final, which made it seventh place in the league qualifies for Europe.

"We hope at least to finish seventh this year."

Spurs' run-in kicks off with a North London derby against Ars*nal on Saturday before away games at Middlesbrough and Charlton, followed by home fixtures with Blackburn and Manchester City.

I think we will definitely get a Euro spot, Esp now its gone down to 7th place. But we must still push on for 5th though.

Yeah definatley, i can't see Portsmouth and Reading coming above us.

If we want to become a top 5 side we are going to need to become more cinsistant and finish in the top 5 every season.:)

with regards to qualifying for europe, can anyone here confirm whose applied for intertoto this year,i think its us ,everton, villa, pompy, bolton and newcastle.if this is the case then i think finishing as low as ninth would get us into intertoto as reading havent applied,i personally wouldnt mind going down this route as i believe there is only ONE two legged tie for english clubs this year

We can't go around pissing about with intertoto. Of course we'll accept it if we have to, but 9th is mid-table frankly and far from where we want to be. These last five games are huge in terms of where we stand, and where players like Berbatov reckon we stand, in the division. If we want to be a big club, we can't be behind newly promoted Reading.

I'm still extremely nervous about where we may finish. It's so tight for 7th spot.
I wouldn't say any of our remaining games are easy, altho on paper we should beat Boro, Charlton & City. However, 2 of those are away & our form away has been pretty poor most of the season, with goals leaking all over the place. At home to B'burn I would hope we can win but still not gonna be easy. Certainly a win against the scum this weekend will ease the pressure a little.

Come on boys!
