Injury update
« on: November 21, 2012, 12:30:58 PM »
Dembele's physiotherapists claim that he has now recovered from his hip injury.
So he could feature against Lazio but wonder what training he has been doing?

Scott Parker is also back in light training - so further good news.

Caulker is still suffering from his knee problem that he sustained playing for England
but plays on and has travelled to Rome.

Kabou's knee injury -  saw a date for his return as 27th December.
But no news found for Assou-Ekotto.

At least we are heading in the right direction. If we can keep going until the next window we can improve our squad.
I’ve lived a life that’s full. I’ve travelled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I think our full strength 11 is one of the strongest in the league .We need to get gallas out of it and partner kaboul with vertonghen and slot ekkotto back in at left back .Our midfield of dembele , sandro/parker , bale and lennon is as good as they get .
If your not spurs you`re dead to me

I agree with you. Let us hope we get our full team up to scratch.

And you really believe our chairman will spend some money without selling even more of our players. A radio pundit said on talksport the other day, that when AVB is sacked, Levy should fall on his sword. Now who would disagree with that ?

Apart from you, that is ?

Spot on. If we can get our injured players fit, and stay in touch with top 4 by end of year, then we really must bring in a striker and playmaker. Then we can finish with a flourish maybe.

Agreed. We've got some interesting games in the next couple of weeks. And we aren't in a bad position. But we can't afford to slip down anymore.

The next 5 League games go a long way to shaping the rest of the season in my opinion. We certainly cannot afford to drop anymore points at home and we really do need to get back into the winners enclosure again, otherwise we might well find ourselves too far behind the leading pack.

I agree, losing to West Ham tomorrow could see the tide turning for some of the AVB supporters. I will stick to my guns and wait till Christmas as promised, but to lose will make my points target hard to achieve. Even a draw is not ideal, but in a derby it is acceptable.
Maybe next year...

I'm a season ticket holder, and believe me, where I sit there are NO AVB supporters. The 2 girls that sit a couple of rows in front of me have loaned out their ST's and have refused to go to any more games until AVB is sacked. The bloke to the right of me generally leaves at half time because he can't abide the football we are playing. I predict we will get 1 point from the next two games, and then it will be a matter of time before the moron is sacked !!

With the permanent inclusion of Lloris who, in my opinion, will soon show why he is France No.1 GK and Dembele, once match fit, we should improve both at the back in terms of confidence and up front even without Ade who, quite frankly, hasn't set the place on fire since his return.

Tomorrow's game v the Hammers will hopefully prove this. It would be be a great shame if we didn't get a result.
