This is a forum, and a forum is a place for different opinions, not somewhere people come and just say great things about the team they support.

Let's put the AVB thing another way shall we. You work for a large telecommunications company and the managing director is looking for very senior head of department. There are lots of applications, however the man he decides to employ has a strange CV. He worked in Portugal and had a successful career, albeit with a company that had done well for many years.   He then came over to England and was employed by an English company doing much the same thing. His record with this company was terrible and he demoralised many of the experienced and well thought of staff. He was sacked after 7 months. As the director of this company, would you employ the person in question ?


I wouldn't, but I think I know someone who would !!

Well Baldbloke. I changed employers 6 years ago and I hated every minute of it. Needless to say that it did not go well for me and this was reflected in my performance. For fear of getting sacked I left and I have been enjoying where I am now for the past 2 years.  I didn't get a reference from my old job. My motivation and credentials were more than enough. So much for your theory!
