Look I agree that whilst he is under contract he should turn up for work if he wants to be paid. If he does not show, then he is not paid. Not that complicated if you ask me.

I do not think that his stance does him any favours, I do not support his actions either. He would have a higher moral standing with the spurs supporters had he not taken this action. But I do think that there must be a reason why he is taking this action now. He was in exactly the same position last year but did not behave in this way. What has changed? It is not just the desire to earn more money, that is still the same.

The big difference here is that there is no Harry either giving him good advice or just being someone he does not want to let down. He does not have that same loyalty to AVB or Levy.

And there is a difference between him and Berbatov, because Modric gave us another year and played well during it too. Now I do not know what promises were or were not made to him by Levy, but Maybe the Harry departure was the final straw.

Yeah, and I wouldn't even say Berbatov would be fully deserving of the amount of vitriol he caught. Same with Modric.

Now a guy like Sol Campbell for example was just asking for it. It isn't kosher to spew rhetoric about not signing with a hated archrival and then to turn around and do precisely that. I don't like a lot of the things being said about him, but I can understand fully why they're being said. Now if someone calls him Judas scum, they're right.

Next year or the year after we will be saying goodbye to Bale.  Are we going to end up hating him as well?  Even with a 60,000 stadium Ars*nal can't hold on to the likes of Nasri, Fabregas and probably Van Persie so what hope do we have?  All AVB can do is to get the best out of what he has and it will never be enough because we cant afford to keep our world class players and we can't afford to buy world class players.  Chelsea just spent (so far) £75 million and that will just about keep get them back into the Top 4.  Our only hope is the club is bought by some rich men !!!! I might have started supporting Spurs because of one player, but had I kept up like that I'd've bailed long ago. Now I suppot Spurs because a. I've come to love the club and b. I love the fact that they are a solid club that doesn't have as much issue with bandwagonners as other major clubs.

We are ultimately owned by Joe Lewis who is the UK's 7th wealthiest person with an estimated fortune of £3.8 Billion, so it's not the money.

The deal is reportly done with Real for 36 million, the fact that we have got a decent transfer sum and he is leaving the prem makes it all the more a very acceptable end to the saga.

What has pissed me off is not that we are selling Modric or that he wants to go, but how he has gone about it, yes we dont know what has gone on behind the scenes but there is no excusing Modric for going Awol and going on strike.  Disrespectful to us supporters and our club I am certain he could have gone about things differently?

For that he departs as a great footballer who has played well for us and helped us move forward, but he has proven he is an utter c*nt, just like Berbatosserc*nt.

All depends how he goes about it really, a respectable transfer request and not doing loads of media broadcasts he would go with best wishes and hoped for success.  Go awol, on strike or anything similar then he we fall into the same c*ntagory simples really!

Whether Bale leaves, or not, I imagine will have a lot to do on how we do this season. Top 4 will be an absolute must to guarantee keeping him.

I would have preferred to see Modric stay but after his spoilt brat antics he has set his stall out
and the sooner he goes...at the right price ...the better.
Then maybe we can make moves in the transfer market before its too late.

So is there never an acceptable reason to remove your labor? Is is always that black and white? It is not as if he is going to be playing for us either, he wants to leave, Levy wants to sell him but wants to make as much money as possible.

Players that have gone on strike include: William Gallas (apparently threatened to score own goals), Ben Arfa (to go to newcastle) Paul Scholes, Tevez, Anelka. Now all of these players are quality players, who went on to either play well for the same club or did well at their next club. It would seem that this action is not a rare occurrence and does not mean that the individual is a c*nt. He is a human being that has the right to do what is best for him, as long as he he not hurting anyone else, he is alright with me. I may not agree with his actions, but to label a person with that term is disproportionate. Again I ask anyone who has used that term if they have ever pulled a sickie?
