Eleven to go
« on: May 30, 2012, 06:08:38 PM »

Tottenham could let go of ELEVEN players this summer
A major clear out could be underway at Tottenham Hotspur this summer as the club looks to get rid of the dead weight floating around. The likes of Heurelho Gomes, Sebastien Bassong, Jermaine Jenas, David Bentley, Steven Pienaar, Andros Townsend and Giovani dos Santos look certain to be axed, while Ryan Nelsen and Louis Saha will be released by the club on the conclusion of their short term 6-month contracts. Also expected to be heading out the exit door are the experienced Croatian duo of Niko Kranjcar and Vedran Corluka with Dinamo Kiev a possible destination.Sourced from the "Metro".

Certainly a few names there that we might not miss but only if there are suitable replacements going to be signed up, otherwise we will be thin on the ground.

Metro is really one reliable source... Although, I must admit, they are stating the obvious. Of the names mentioned I'd like us to keep Gomes, Kranjčar, Pienaar and dos Santos.

Gomes is a liability, Kranjcar and Dod Santos would seem to have had more than enough chances, Pienaar I'd like to see replicae his Everton form. Why do we seem to sign so many promising players who then flop ??

Kranjčar has done more than enough to deserve a place.

All very well letting these players go, but we need quality replacements and so far no real word on who these might be. We were found wanting for decent cover this season and letting half the squad leave and just getting in whoever might be available on the cheap is surely a recipe for disaster.

To be fair if you added up the appearances from last season for all the names mentioned including subsitute appearances you'd be lucky to make 20.(excluding early rounds of tin pot European cups)

There would be no great loss by letting them all go but....... you would need to replace half of them at least with players of better quality and that's were your going to get problems because there ain't that many of them around and available, plus who's going to come unless you could guarentee them first team football !!!

This basically means you would need to sign players to go straight into the first team making our present first team the fringe players £150 million anyone !!!

So the exodus is under way with Nelson off to QPR.
Followed by Corluka to Lokomotiv Moscow and Kranjcar to Dynamo Kiev.

Pavlyuchenko went to Lokomotiv. Čorluka hasn't gone anywhere.

Sorry, my bad. Lokomotiv have confirmed the signing. It's just that Spurs have once again decided to keep us in dark. f**king secret state of this c*nt Levy. Damn, I just don't love this club anymore.

Well Gomes has said he wants to stay ay THFC now Redknapp is gone! I would lik eto see him come back at his best as on his day he cant be matched by any keeper in the EPL.

Maybe now Dos Santos will also get a chance which IMO will be good for us as he has bags of talent, we just need to unlock it!
THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

Sorry but I would say that Hart, Reina, Krull, Cech, and Freidel are all better than Gomes. It is no good saying on his day because what if his day is a Tuesday?

Dos Santos is looking to leave too and I'm sorry but if you are not going to show what you can do in 4 years, it is time to try somewhere else, maybe another country, which may suit his style. MLS may be ok for his talents.
Maybe next year...
