New Spurs manager?

Now Capello's gone from England, Harry seems to be top of everyone's lost for the job.  Who's Spurs' new manager?

David moyes or Martin o neill can only be the choice if what appears to be  the inevitable happens . However i;m not so sure on two counts that it will happen reason 1 is daniel levy has previous in refusing contracted staff of THFC to discuss going somewhere else when it suits them and not the club and reason 2 is capello resigned on the principle of being told by the fa who he can and cannot pick as his captain and i;m not sure harry would like to be getting involved if the same interference were to take place under his stewardship and that would be one of the considerations for not taking the job assuming he;s offered it but also the overwhelming reason to  turn it down would be the obvious possibility that Spurs are credible and possible premiership winners and if not this year surely in the next two seasons the way the team are progressing and harry might find it hard to walk away from  for sure . :tickedoff:

If he takes the job full time.

I said a long time ago that I could see HR becoming England manager and then Mourinho would come to Spurs. He has a soft spot for us and always sings our praises.

By the way I am not sure if that is who I would want (due to his style of play) but you couldn't argue with his credentials and is someone who could help us to win the premiership! One of the few people who could take us to another level (results wise that is, rather than style wise)
Maybe next year...

Yep only heard the news minutes ago but already see Harry is firm favourite for the England job...
but lets not overlook Roy Hodgson or Alan Pardew

Any one of the following would fit the bill for me if Harry goes

David Moyes, Martin ONeil, Guus Hiddink or Jose Mourinho

Martin Jol. I would not mind David Moyes either. Martin O'Neill joined Sunderland not long ago and I doubt he would be able to move on so quickly.

At the moment, though, Harry Redknapp is still our manager and hopefully at least until EURO 2012.

For me, the outstanding candidate if Harry does go is Mourinho. Nothing against Moyes, but he lacks charisma for me.
An outside candidate is Gus Poyet, if not now, in future.

The next Manager has to be a players Manager, what i mean by that is, someone who really gets behind the players and motivates them similar to how Harry did.

Because i think if Harry leaves alot of our big players will go too and only a big name manager will stop them leaving

So it has to be Jose Mourinho for me, I think that is the only name that will get the players excited.

No disrecpect to David Moyes & Martin O'Neill etc, but them names will not get you excited as a Player, they are  not the type of manager who you think you can win the league and trophies.

Hold on, wait a minute 'Arry hasn't taken the job and just because everyone says 'Arry should be the next England manager it dosen't mean that he will be !!

One things for sure Daniel Levy will not let 'Arry go without a fight and getting the absolute best for Spurs. If he goes and thats a big if in my opinion then we will have to wait and see who's available, Moyes and O'Neill both have jobs with other Premiership clubs so you can pretty much rule them out, Mourinho no thanks were already special enough, Capello not in a million years to stiff and disciplined and Hiddink has an affinity with Chelski.

Personally I think our next manager will be Harry Redknapp..... but if he does go which I think is unlikely I'd take Chris Hughton.

You hit the nail on the head Biggs, but at this moment in time Arry is still our manager and I hope he sees that he can achieve something big with THFC and stays on!!!

Arry is still our manager and long may that continue!

Levy get a new deal sorted for HR!!! show the clubs commitment to him.
THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

That all made sense until you said Chris Houghton. He was a dreadful assistant  manager, why the hell would you want him as manager ?

Managing England is an awful job. Why would Harry want the aggro ? He is manager of a club on the brink of something special, all being well we will be in The Champions League next season. Why would he swap that for 10 or so games a year and the constant scrutiny and criticism from all sections of the media ? We haven't got a cat in hells chance of winning anything. we are light years behind Spain, Holland and Germany although nobody in the press seems prepared to accept this so The Manager gets all the blame when we fail dismally at yet another tournament. Whoever takes the job on is a  misguided fool, and one thing I dont think Harry can be accused of is that

Agreed. Sentiment aside, he presided over the worst defence I can remember.

Exactly he was an assistant manager, look at the job Chris Hughton has done at Newcastle and now at Birmingham both with difficult situations to cope with. On top of that he is an ex player and knows the club inside out also knows the chairman etc etc etc...... theres alot of worse appointments I can think of !!!!

For me it would go like this:
Capello V Chimpanzee = Chimpanzee
Chimpanzee V O'Neill = O'Neill
O'Neil V Moyes = Moyes
Hughton v Moyes = Hughton
Hughton V Poyet = Poyet
Poyet V Jol = Jol
Jol V Klinsman = Klinsman
Klinsman V Hiddink = Hiddink
Hiddink V Mourinho = Mourinho
Mourinho V Redknapp = Redknapp

I know some people would change this hierarchy and some wouldn't even feature in their list, but I think this covers everyone mentioned above. I through in Klinsman as an after thought. the only reason I pipped him above Jol was that although I really liked Jol, maybe appointing him would be like taking a step back rather than forwards.

Feel free to show how your knockout rounds would look.
