Is It Too Early To Start Dreaming .....
« on: January 05, 2012, 04:25:42 PM »
So Man Ure have lost away at the Geordies and Citeh are about too lose vital players to the African Cup of Nations, plus both have to play each other in The FA Cup (a draw on Sunday would be nice). Then there's the small matter of the Carling Cup Semi's against the Scousers for Citeh and a game against the form side in the Premier League...... the mighty Tottenham Hotspur. Manure have auditoned their entire squad for an episode of Casualty and seem to have lost the will to live let alone fight for a win in a game, and old man fergie's nose seems to be getting redder than the shirts they wear !!!!

Then we come to Feb and the resumption of the Europa League (Hahahahahahahahah !!!!!, sorry it just tickles me the mighty Manc's are both in the Europa League) which I truly hope that both the Manc sides progress steadily in.

Is this not a senario created in 'Arry's perfect dream of how to win the Premier League, even when we have slipped up slightly the Mighty Manc's have failed to take advantage. The pundits still refuse to tip us for the title saying we are going to slip up at some point, well we seem to be grinding out those results when we are not playing too well and even the players that come in to cover are doing the business.

So is it too early to start dreaming and hoping ...........

Our current list of injuries and over reliance on players such as adebayor concerns me. How we strengthen or fail to as the case may be in key positions in january will tell the real story. But cant fault our performance up to this point. Coys

5th

Baldbloke, I would like to challenge your continued, but consistent claim that we will finish 5th. If we finish 4th I think you should make a small apology, 3rd a large full written apology detailing how you got it so, so wrong. 2nd and a video posting you on your knees bowing down and begging forgiveness, 1st and I would not care enough to need anything as I would be too ecstatic and no apology would be needed or matter :)

of course if we finish 5th I will apologise, 6th a full letter of apology, 7th or below the video post for me.

Deal?
Maybe next year...

I believe we are definately in the mix to win the league. Three points behind City with a game in hand even though they have all these top class players this side has never had to cope with the pressure of being top. If we can stay within a couple of points with them come the end of the season we will be in with a shout.

We will need to strengthen if we are to cement top 4, CH and striker as many of us keep saying. Injuries to key players are our biggest problem. No reason why we cant finish 3rd. Beyond that is probably beyond us for this year. Either way, we are miles better than at any time in last 25 years.

Baldbloke I've got to take issue with you and your doom and gloom attitude.

Lets deal with facts first

4th Place - Chelski 5 Points behind having played one more game
5th Place - The Scum 6 Points behind having played one more game
6th Place - The Scousers 8 Points behind having played one more game
The rest I don't think will be involved in the race for the title let alone 4th place, come to think of it I don't really think Chelski, The Scum or The Scousers are going to be involved in the title race either.

So lets look at the teams above us

1st Place - Citeh 6 Points in front having played one more game
2nd Place - Man Ure 3 Points in front having played one more game
Admittedly both the Manc teams have a better goal difference, but both have problems to deal with too, Man Ure have a squad resembling the cast of Casualty, and Citeh are losing key players to the African Cup of Nations and suspensions at an alarming rate.

Now I know that we are struggling with injuries too but we seem to be dealing with these problems better than the teams around us at the moment, granted this may not continue but lets take what we can at the moment. As long as 'Arry can continue to manage this situation like he has so far by changing the system slightly and resting players in the early rounds of the Cup competitions this still shouldn't be too much of a problem

Now of all the teams in the top 6 we are the only ones not involved in any other competitions apart from the FA Cup, Citeh (Europa League, Carling Cup), Man Ure (Europa League, FA Cup), Chelski (Champions League, FA Cup), The Scum (Champions League, FA Cup)and The Scousers (Carling Cup, FA Cup).

So the facts are we need to lose 3 more games than the chasing pack between now and the end of the season for us to miss out on finishing in the top 4, I feel pretty confident that we can manage to avoid this. Man Ure and Citeh need to win 2 more games than us between now and the end of the season for us to not finish top, the way things are in the league at the moment I wouldn't rule that out either. Plus there are 21 days left in this transfer window for Mr Levy and 'Arry to improve our squad to help mount a challenge....... these are all facts.

So quit the doom and gloom and at least accept the facts that we are definitely a big, big part of the title race for the time being until something changes !!!!

I have no idea what a DDOS attack is but it sounds a bit like a girl with large breasts attacking us? Is there any video of the attack as i would like to watch that one day?

No, that's not me, but I can tell you something though. It won't be long before the wheels start coming off the bandwagon, and then I will use these simple words, "I TOLD YOU SO"
