Yes I heard or read somewhere that the people that have nothing better to do than compile statistics about such things, have discovered that Ledley is only covering half the distance he used to in matches since the arrival of Parker.
[
Not a statistic its a fact!! anybody who has seen 90 min games (not TV) will know, what Scott Parker is about the work rate and tackles he puts in now thats a statistic I would not mind reading!!!

Like Dimexi has said if we win our game in hand then we are 2nd, that's 2nd above Man Ure, Woolwich Wanderers, Chelski and the Scousers. We are currently the second best team in the form league behind Citeh and on a 10 game unbeaten run including wins against Woolwich Wanderers and The Scousers.

Our Next 9 League games are

Bolton (H)
Stoke City (A)
Sunderland (H)
Chelski (H)
Norwich (A)
Swansea (A)
West Brom (H)
Everton (H)
Wolves (H)

These games will take us up to an away game against Citeh, If we are still in the picture and within a few points of the top then who knows.

Personally and I've said it already I think we are going to be very close this season and with a bit of luck who knows, yesterday we went away to West brom without 2 of the biggest names in the Premiership let alone in the Spurs side and won. Maybe I'm getting carried away but I've supported Spurs for 40 years plus and I cannot remember a side as good as the current one even the early 80's side and the 87 side are being eclipsed, I heard that this is our best start since 60-61 and we all know what happened then !!!!

This...all of it. Been a Spurs fan for the last 35 years, and this is the best team/squad I have seen.

I think Man City will win the title, they have too many good players to fail as I see it.

Chelsea seem to be returning to form, and have the ability to add a couple or three top players in January, so could push them all the way.

That leaves Man U, Ars*nal and us for 3rd / 4th as I think Liverpool and Newcastle have shot their bolt.

The point being we will have to keep our form up right through to the end of the season as it will be very tight finishing in top 4.

Halfway through the season and we sit 3rd in the league on the same points as ManUre. 45 points.
Yes 45 points! If we keep winning then I have to believe that we are in with a chance of actually winning the Premier League this year.

As Harry has said, we are in with a chance for sure. Our confidence is up, we are playing well, and grinding out results when we dont.
The key for me will be how we react if we suddenly lose a game we are expected to win. Its vital that we keep our confidence up until the very last kick of the season as it might be that close.
To finish worse than 3rd/4th from this position would be a disaster for our morale.

As long as we keep pushing the top 2 all season I be chuffed. Top4 is a must now, 3rd will be a achivement and any higher than that and I think the lads would have exceeded all expectations

From the first 19 Games we managed to gain 42pts, if we can match that in the 2nd half of the season putting us on 84pts I will be more than happy with that. Probably won't be enough to win the league on 84pts but would be a massive achivement in my books.

I think I may have sat next to you at The Lane a few years back when I had a season ticket. This guy always thought we would lose, and all our players were s**te. Even if we were 4-0 up with 5 mins to go he always expected a comeback. He seemed unhappy when we won, and every loss was a vindication to him that he was a better manager than whoever currently held the job. One time he even spent a memorable half an hour lamenting that the pies weren't as good as they were back in the days of Billy Nick.

We need to beat Wolves tomorrow!
We've proven that we can win the matches against the mediocre teams that we dropped points to in previous seasons. The away to MC and the home to MU will tell the story...if we get 4 points were in with a shout to be Champions!!! COYS

12 points clear of Ars*nal (in 7th, can I contain my laughter?) 11 clear of Liverpool and 10 clear of Newcastle in 5th. I think we are in a pretty strong position to hold 3rd. How about you?

Anyway, we should be looking up and doing everything to chase those above, rather than fearing who is below us. I think we are still within a shot of challenging, even if we do not succeed. Man U are still not playing that well but keep getting the results as usual. They are definitely favourites in my book. Man City played well at the start but their performances have not remained at that level, compounded by the defeat by Everton. I can see them falling short and losing their nerve. Which could mean we still end up above them.

2nd. lol

Anywhere between 2nd and 5th, a key factor is going to be our injuries as the season goes on and can we hold our nerve, 10 points is not a huge gap!

We held our nerve 2 years ago to finish 4th, and IMO we are a better side now. But as you say, injuries to crucial players are the main worry.
