I'd rather have Vucinic than Adebayor, but if Ade's on loan and we can get his wages cut... hard to turn that down.
Speaking of feeling uneasy; i've had this growing idea in my head for the past few weeks... and its making me uneasy but i'm starting to feel like it's really for the best.
*deep breath*
let's sell Modric.
before anyone freaks out, here's my thinking; Modric is clearly unhappy here, and if we went to chelski and said they could have him for 40m *or* 30m and striker of their choice (prob. Drogba or Sturridge) i think they'd jump at the chance; we then have more first team time for Niko, who i really believe is 80% as good as Modric (doesn't hold the ball as well, but is a better scorer) and the funds to go out and buy some of the other pieces we need.
I'm saying this because of a great piece of sports advice i heard the other day; Great teams know they're never just 1 player away. Look at Man U; they never just buy 1 player and call it quits. They're constantly bringing boys up and buying a few role players to go around their stars. We need a striker, some back line help (right full and center-half) and a few new young toys to build. I'd like to think Kyle Walker coming back will help the back line a lot, but that doesn't solve striker or right full; at the same time, we've got 6 passable central midfielders in Niko, Mods, Sandro, Hudds, Sarge, and Jenas (yes it pains me to say that, but he doesn't have to start) we're set on the wings with Bale, Lennon, and Pienaar (and niko if we need) so why not sell modric and use the cash to go get Vucinic or Llorente or some other great striker?
