Yes, let's sell all our players. And while we're at it it might be a sound idea to sell the club as well.

No.

I've thought about this a lot. On his day Gomes is a great 'keeper but at other times he can be a liability. It's a question of confidence I think. Are the defenders confident with him behind them ? Possibly not but who would we get ? Shay Given is twiddling his thumbs at Man City but I'd be suprised if they would sell to us. Foster is prone to the odd gaffe to. If West Ham go down we should be able to get Green but he is more than capable of throwing one in himself. Whoever we get will give us caviar and cabbage it's the nature of the job.

Show me one keeper who isn't. All players have bad days in the office, it's just that keepers' errors are somewhat more comical/tragic and tend to stick to mind more than a - let's say - failed slide-tackle. Gomes has blundered his fair share of shots but has kept us afloat on more than one occasion.

The only keeper I'd actually have instead of Gomes would be Igor Akinfeev (as Casillas wouldn't come).

Last year I would of immediately said no way but his recent performances have had me squirming on my seat as I'm really not confident he is actually in control. The problem is he did this before and came back better than ever but .......... I am really undecided because on his day like has been said before he is awesome but if it's not his day.........

I like Jussi Jaaskelainen but he's 36, maybe Green but is he any better than Gomes ?

It's a dilemma thats for sure...... if we do replace him its going to have to be a high quality Keeper thats for sure !!!!

Simple answer NO!  Gomes is quality he pulls of saves most other keepers can only have wet dreams about.  Cos fo the nature of goalkeeping if you make any error it can be costly often resulting in a goal.

Gomes has saved us many times, if not for s super save againt West brom last weekedn we would have lost!

There are other areas of the team that need sorting not of keeper

THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

I think the guy genuinely wants to play for us. He is either genius or clown, but on the whole he is good for us. its the CB's who have been letting him down!

Easy one, yes to sell Gomes, and replacement? I don't know if you guys watch much of Rangers, but keeper Allan McGregor is a terrific keeper, and available at a cut price at the moment. He is good enough to play for any team in my opinion!

Yes i would agree that the cbs are at fault for our high rate of goals conceded as are certain midifelders who fail to track back. But no one is to blame for his consistent errors and gaffes which he is more highly prone to in comparison to other keepers. Its nearly one every 2-3 games now. What good is a keeper who pulls off a world class save only to let it roll into the net in the same match? And his penchant for feigning injury is pathetic.

Yes I agree. Whatever the rights and wrongs of the referees decision it is just masking yet another cock up. That was a soft shot at best and should have been gathered with ease by any decent keeper. I despair of Gomes he has talent and seems like a nice guy, but he cant concentrate for 90 minutes, and for every great save there's one he's thrown in the net. The defenders have to take a certain amount of responsibility but speculative shots from 40 yards should be meat and drink for a Prem standard 'keeper. I dont know the answer, maybe fit him with electrodes and shock him every so often to keep him alert. But we cant keep giving away daft goals if we are going to progress. City  might be persuaded to sell us Shay Given we could do a lot worse.

Maybe time for some time on the bench to take the pressure off and give Cudicini a few games !!!
