Jose Mourinho

Spurs are IMO where Chelsea were back in 2004. A squad good enough to seriously challenge for the title but still missing that special something.... or someone. If as expected Harry becomes the next England manager then I can see nobody better to take Spurs to the next level that Mr.Mourinho. I know he's cocky, brash and outspoken but his record is second to no-one and he has repeatedly stated a desire to return to England. I know Manure and Chelski are more likely destinations but if he was open to taking over at the Lane, would you welcome him and more importantly what do you think he would bring that maybe Harry lacks??

I cant stand the twat who has bags of smarm on top of all mentioned above but....................... you cant fault his record and but I am not certain he would be good for us, look at our last big rep manager with loads of hype he nearly destroyed us (Ramos), yes jose is different.

He got great player loyalty at Chelski and most played for him which is a great sign of his man management skill so a great plus.

The man himself is a mercenary of a manager we dont want nor need that as we are building for the future and management stability is key alongside player stability!

We will not bank role his transfers as others clubs can and have so would he choose to come to us where he would have to rely on his skills with limited funds to bring in players, develope existing ones and be shrewd in sales as he wouldnt be able to trial and error so much with multi million £ signings!

He is great at deflecting attention of the media away from his players which I think is key to getting them to focus on the job at hand where as Arry does the total opposite which annoys the s**t out of me.  Tactically Jose D'Twat doesnt play attractive footi or the style of flare that we enjoy and apply, we would become boring on the pitch.

When Arrys goes which is likely to be the England job or due to sulking at not making the CL next season I wouldnt want Jose I really dont think he would fit!

I would rather have Martin O'Neil or a second spell for Big Martin Jol!
THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

The one thing Jose achieves with ease which has eluded us is he wins things. At Porto he didn't have unlimited funds and he won The Champions League. Milan hadn't won anything for god knows how long till he turned up. I think he has a taste for London which would work in our favour but we wont pay him what he wants and we wont pay the transfer fees he wants so I'd be suprised to see him at Spurs. Although I'd love to see it. Blimey if he was going to win us a trophy or two I'd welcome the Devil himself at the moment.

I think Mourinho is hugely overhyped... and very clever at going to a certain club AT THE RIGHT TIME..

he did well at Porto in the CL which is to his credit.... but he then went to Chavski when they had unlimited funds and also when both Utd and Ars*nal were in a rebuilding-phase....he then went to Inter when they had a very strong squad and had just won 3 Serie A titles on the bounce AND with the likes of Juve and AC Milan still recovering from the bribery and subsequent demotion scandal.... and he then went to Real Madrid when if you look at the squad assembled 12months earlier, was frightening (after investing around 150m on world-superstars eg. Ronaldo)...

all very well timed moves on the part of Jose..... when the squads of rivals have been as good for any given season, the Special One has ironically been less than 'Special'...

Best manager in the world, but would want a big wage and a big transfer budget. These are two things we can't afford.

He wins wherever he goes. Shameus, not liking his personality doesn't change his record as a manager. I think what he accomplished in the Champions League with Inter was incredible. Absolutely amazing what he got out of those players. Look at the difference when Benitez took over. I don't really care about his personality, if anything I find his personality quite entertaining. As a manager though he knows exactly what he wants out of each player and if they can't or won't do it he'll address it immediately.

Who's better? I hope he returns to England at WHL.

Don't think he would consider us even if we came knocking, but he has a good record, even if he is a mercenary and he attarcts the top players plus he would keep Bale, Modders, Hudders and Lennon from leaving

Jose aint as good as the self-generated hype..

in his last 2yrs at Chavski they struggled to overcome Utd (even Ars*nal for large parts of seasons) who had spent less than them .... at Inter he inherited a squad head-n-shoulders above any other Italian club.... at Madrid he inherited possibly the best SQUAD of players ever assembled and failed to overcome Barca last season and are again 2nd best to them this season..

when he takes over the likes of a poorer, unfashionable club like Dortmund to a league title, by a huge margin of 10pts or over... then.... we can start to listen to his 1-man PR-machine... the guy makes Arry look positively modest and demure in his recent achievements..

Who said they are leaving ?

Why are we even considering Mourinho....... what happens if Redknapp beats Mourinho who then ?

This is just pointless Redknapp is our manager and should be for the next 3 seasons at least if he wants it,chopping and changing every 2-3 seasons is football suicide, wake up people and smell the s**t that you are shovelling !!!!!!

Jose wouldnt look twice at Spurs now as his stock is way too high.

Next Man Ure manager without a doubt or of course a return to Chavs if the behind the scenes situation is back to being cuddles and kisses.

Jose wouldnt consider Spurs cos he knows that he wouldnt inherit a readymade title-winning team/squad that is usually a prerequisite for him to move and then 'showcase' his wonderful 'alchemic' qualities....

he might go to Citeh if they give him another 150m to spend in 1 summer..... it really does take a genius to win a title then, doesnt it Jose....

He wouldn't be interested in Spurs right now. The squad maybe yes - but not our wage structure. Much more likely at any of the traditional big 4.
He's strained his left adductor muscle it says. Whats that then ? Do we all have those or just footballers ? I wonder how mine are ? *courtesy of taimedowne*

Hi Ugs - don't you think they will tempted by obvious approaches in the summer if they are deprived of CL football next season? They are sought after players and have tasted CL now. Sad as it is, but I have a horrible feeling about losing them - sincerely hope they dont leave as we need them to build on from here and have a serious go next term!
