if it means seeing alot of our upcoming reservists eg. Townsend, Bostock and Caulkin given a go, well isnt that another incentive to see us in the EL ??..... plus on free-tv too..... not a bad trade-off at all, if you ask me..
and lets not forget that from next season onwards, Uefa Revenues to Spending rules kick in so if we're not in Europa, and assuming we make at least 1m from gate receipts for home-games plus tv-money, and say we play a dozen games at least - thats still serious money to turn away.... plus as I said, our reserve players get a chance to maybe shine and push for a regular-place...
I'm seriously thinking its not worth any young players to come to Spurs anymore eg. Bostock, Parrett, even Taarabt never really got a decent run in the team..... better they go elsewhere in future if all us fans are interested is in Prem games and instant success to get into CL...
CL or EL.... I am seriously not sure which I prefer for Spurs.... so either way, I is happy..
PS - there are loadsa good teams in the group stage of EL too.... I've seen loadsa good match-ups this season and last on ESPN and Channel5 etc... eg. Juventus, Valencia, Ajax, Sevilla, Bordeaux, Dortmund, Sampdoria to name but a few...
