Next 5 games!!! Win and we secure europe imo

After seeing the demise of Chelsea last night to Fulham i.e. only a draw I was looking at our next 5 fixtures.  Based on the way we just pulled out results on our last two games I am praying we can go and pick up 15 points from the next five games against


Blackpool A
Wolves A
West Ham H
Wigan A
Stoke H


Not only do we go third if we beat Blackpool but if we win all 5 games that will put us on 62 points. I think either Chelsea or City will then find it very hard to catch us by the end.  What a chance we have.  Let's hope the Champs league doesn't take our eye off the ball.

Im worried about Wolves and Wigan. Wolves tend to do better against bigger sides! Wigan on the other hand wouldnt want their 9 goal trashing to be repeated. urgh... the agony..

I cant see us winning 5 game on a tiot, if we're going to do it. It will be doing it the hard way. By beating Chelsea or Man City later on.

To be honest we are capable of winning all five games and losing as well. Sad but true. Blackpool, Wolves and Wigan can be tough away opponents and as Biggs pointed out, they will be giving their all.

to be more honest.... that could be said of any team in the Prem (any team can lose/draw games in a brief period)..

5 wins on the trot for ANY team, even against bottom-table sides, is not the norm... 4 from 5 will be nice

What you have spotted writeon is that the next month is vital for everything, we could be set up for a grand stand finish to the season or what promised so much might just quietly slip away.
 
We won't win 5 in a row because we never do, it would have also meant we had won 8 in a row in the league......we wish!
 
We will slip up once or twice but as long as we finish that 5 game run on around the same points as City and the Russians i fancy us to hold our nerve in the run in.
 
City play the Chel one of that weeks, we really need to win our game to start turning the screw and pressure both of them.

There are no easy games in the EPL, even teams that are canon fodder can pull of surprise result.

Look at the teams we have dropped points to this season some of which we would have expected 3 points we ended up with sweet f**k all and pondering what went wrong.

We are in great position and have a real chance of CL footi next season..... lets take one game at a time and expect slip ups, the other clubs in the race for our positions 3rd/4th will also drop points.

I like where we are now, CL again next year is in our hands, we do not need anyone to do us a favour, we will get stronger towards the end of the season as our injured players return.  But I agree next 5 games are vital

We are in  a position now where we can push on and secure at least 4th place. The next 5 games are vital, truth is if we can't beat the teams at the foot of the table do we deserve to be 4th? I know they are fighting for their survival but they are bottom of the league for a reason!! They are all beatable and we have the class to do so!! Chelski and s**tty away are really tough games but in truth I think we can do them. We have players coming back. Bale will get a run out in the next week or two and I would expect him to be match fit for the big games coming up. Modders is in the same boat, a couple of weeks rest might do them the world of good. We CAN do it!!!!
