For me, it's a no-brainer: the priority is to finish in 4th (or maybe 3rd) in the Premier. Then we can build the squad and really have a go at winning someting big next year. If we don't finish in the top 4, then I fear we will wave goodbye to one or two top players and we'll be here in 12 months time moaning about being in 11th place and with the only hope for glory being victory in some far flung place against a mediocre team in the Europa League.

I'd rather finish 8th than 5th we can well do without messing about in the Channel 5 cup. If we have that to distract us we wont be finishing top 4 next season either. Or maybe Harry will see to it that we get knocked out early like Villa managed too although that hasn't helped them all that much this season.

I'd love to finish in the top 4 again but that looks increasingly difficult as the weeks go by. Also progressing in the CL is going to get considerably harder too after Milan, so maybe a major trophy (FA Cup) we keep us happy for this season, then we can make another assault on the top 4?

I havn't lost faith, im just trying to be realistic  :nods:

I agree. I think it would be better for us 8th than 5th as far as  competing the following season, but then again I think even European football in the Europa league is more attractive to potential transfers sometimes. Not that I have an effin clue if it is or isn't.

It worked for us last season not having the Europa so i tend to agree. If 4th looks gone concentrate on FA Cup (if still in it) and the CL (destiny, if i keep saying this enough perhaps it will happen)

We'll just go ahead and win the CL this time so the whole finishing 4th is just a novelty. LOL. Stranger things have happened  :D

Why not have all 3, if you don't buy a ticket then you n ever win the prize.... winning becomes a habit, a belief, we need to try and win every game we play in from now on this season.

as nearly all the Europa League games are live-broadcast on 'free' channels eg. Channel5, ESPN etc, as opposed to CL games mostly televised on fee-based McMurdockSports, I wouldnt mind it at all if Spurs now finished outside Top4.... far more Spurs games for me to enjoy FREE on TV...

as long as we prioritise revenues into the new stadium development, and not too much into mega transfer-fees and excessive wages.... we can do that AFTER we have paid down the new stadium debt (in about 6yrs time)...

ESPN isn't free and some CL games are shown on ITV so I doubt you will get to see any more games than you do now.

Taime....

ESPN is included in the Virgin TV XL package, so I dont pay extra to what I would normally do (as I'd have to with McMurdockSports)..... also I'm aware that SOME CL games are screened on ITV and that was reflected in the wording of my earlier post on the subject...

but vast majority of CL games are still shown on the non-ITV pay-channel owned by the true ruler of the UK....
