What i dont get with all this is they claim they are saving 200 million by moving to the olympic stadium, yet they are building exactly the same stadium and rebuilding crystal palace.surely it is only costing more because at the Lane they plan to build a hotel ,housing and a supermarket and offices which the club would own to either sell on or lease to make them pay for themselves and also make a profit.they then say WHL is a nightmare to get to,utter bollox ,stratford would take most if they drive straight through the congestion zone costing more money, and would be a c*nt of a drive. The scum the club have employed to spin all this bollox is making some think its a good idea, simple ,you like East London f**k off and support West Ham.Leave the ground as it is or build on site that was planned, end off.By the time the hospitality c*nts have finshed there 3 course meals we will all be bolloxed in the pubs or f**ked of home so the roads will be empty for you so as not make it to much of an unpleasent journey for you, better still f**k off and go and watch rugby and leave TOTTENHAM to the people who  our club and dont find it such a daunting day out

I can see the language police coming.... :hide:

Some good points though. Everyone is money obsessed and finance/compete etc always comes up but there can only ever be one winner in each competition and (currently) 4 to make the CL so some people with cash still won't always have success. A good manager and a team pulling together can work just as well, it just makes it that bit harder but more rewarding.

Personally i want the club to remain where it is but only if that is what the majority of fans who go to the games want. I couln't give a toss what money men or some guy thats never been to WHL think.

6.9 miles from WHL to Stratford.
Burnden Park, Bolton (Old Ground) to Reebok 6 Miles
It's hardly the other side of the world is it?
The club should either re-locate (my preferred option) or if, and only if, it makes financial sense to stay at N17, stay. But transport infrastructure MUST improve!
All this balls about leaving N.London to Ars*nal...
The vast majority of supporters travel into WHL from distance and are very poorly served in terms of parking, ease of public transport access etc.

You just can't beat the good old UK for making something that should have been simple just a disaster. No forward planning, plenty of cash wasted and now some political lottery to see what happens next.

The BBC have a great article on some 'dodgy' loan that West Ham have secured to help fund their move if successful. How can a club over £100mill in debt possibly afford to repay another £40mill loan as well as whatever other costs it will take to downsize the stadium to 60k capacity? Nobody is saying if the council have to foot the bill if/when West Ham default, you couldnt make it up.

On a plus side if they are successful it should be easy for football tourists like me to get an away ticket, there should be about 30,000 available!

I have no idea what a DDOS attack is but it sounds a bit like a girl with large breasts attacking us? Is there any video of the attack as i would like to watch that one day?

I read today that the average Spurs fan lives 40 miles from Tottenham. I wonder how that compares to other clubs particularly London ones. Judging from my own experience whenever I travel to The Lane from my home in Kent there are always loads of football fans on the concourse at Victoria Station of all persuasions. Having thought long and hard on this subject I have decided I would rather see a successful Spurs team in Stratford than a mediocre one in Tottenham. I moved from North London and my passion for Spurs remained the same. As long as we have the lillywhite shirt and the proud cockerel we will always be Spurs no matter where we play. In all walks of life you may have to relocate to succeed it is sad to leave an old and much loved home but sometimes you just have to look for a brighter future elsewhere.

Even Pele and Jimmy Greaves are getting in on the act  :o

(sorry couldnt get link to work as my IT skills dont go much beyond an ATARI)

I am worried that i read today that although the decision process starts next Friday it could take as long as May for a decision to be reached! Also read Levy article saying remaining landlords that havent agreed to sell should we redevelope WHL could prove costly and hugely time delaying.

Every anti-Spurs rant i read or hear from opposition fans makes me laugh. The only people responsible for this fiasco are the idiots in charge of our Olympic bid. How you can spend 500mill on a stadium not fit for any purpose after a 2 week stint is beyond me.

If we do move to Stratford can we just be Spurs (and not Stratford Spurs) if we have to drop the "Tottenham" bit !!! As we fly into Stansted for home games can anybody tell me our route to Stratford?  Thanks

Seems lots of football heavy weight names are getting involved which makes it seem to me there is alot at stake.

Harry is doing well at flapping his gums in the media to stir it right up and Karen Brady is doing well in response also, Grants attempt was piss poor so he may as well concentrate on his job as all his grey brain cells are needed there, its almost going down the route of my dad is bigger than yours  :hide:.

I support our bid as I support our club, it would be a huge step forward be it success in this bid or redevelopment to stay at WHL but the latter is unlikely.... nothing will stop me supporting Spurs regardless of the outcome!

Harry said we cant get players who are on 100k per week unless we move to a new stadium. I wonder if thats true.. Stadium size means we cant afford big wage players??

So if we are in higher debt from teh millions that would need to be financed for a larger staduim (as I guess we need financing for it) we can then increase our upper wage limit??  :uglystupid2: :uglystupid2: :uglystupid2:

Yeah bigger staduim more seats, more bums on seats through ticket sales therefore more revenue but that much to be able to pay those sorts of wages weekly?
