Keane & Bentley unsaleable ??
« on: January 06, 2011, 04:32:20 PM »
the 2 midgets with the enormous wads (increasing at the joint rate of 100k a week before tax) are proving very difficult to get rid...

Spurs want to get rid, Spurs are desperate to get rid... and the other clubs know this... so why should they rush when they can wait til near-deadline day when they will feel they can offer peanuts ...

Keane is well past his best and any club would be mugs to pay him more than 20k a week (on top of any transfer-fee)..... Bentley was ALWAYS hugely overhyped as the 'new Beckham' and that genius Levy bought into it hook, line and sinker.... there was a reason why Ars*nal got rid: no pace, superficial unprofessional attitude and a huge ego... oh yes... can cross a ball (as long as theres 2 big lumps to cross to ie. at Blackburn)... HUGE SALARIES WILL DETER EVERY CLUB FOR BOTH THESE.... why should they move, they can earn twice what others would offer by staying put..

trouble is, without the sales going thru Arry will find it difficult to add players we actually need to the squad, without binning the players and converting their future transfer-value to zero..... 30m to zero.... nice..

the players themselves and the buying clubs are in the driving-seats..... THEY control where this window... and our season...will take us....

not Levy...... not Arry.

We will just have to sit and wait patiently for them to go through Robbie Keane to Birmingham City was reported yesterday as a pretty much done deal with the fee agreed just leaving Robbies demands etc but today someone at Birmingham City has said that they are far from a deal, it will happen just it will take a couple of days. The David Bentley to Newcastle deal sounds more likely over the past few days, no one really knows anything about the fee but it seems as though it will happen. Like you said we do need to get these deals done to free up space and funds for our own transfers. Also there has been no speculation on Giovani Dos Santos yet, i hope we shift him off aswell because he will not get a spot in the team. YID ARMY

GK has a valid point, its the players themselves which will make or break their transfers with their personal demands.

7 mill for keane plus him of our wage bill is great business, hell even 5 mill would be good in the bigger picture of saving 65k per week!

As far as Dos Santos goes I would see if we can secure a PL loan for him with a team a bit down the table, get him some game time in the PL see if he can hack it, if so he could still benefit us and if not use it as shop window exercise we'll have nothing to loose!

THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

Both have underperformed (keane since his return fron Liverpool) Bentley since we bought him, only a few flashes of his past self ,so both need to go.

David Bentley looks set to join Birmingham City on loan until the end of the season, he will undergo a medical this weekend. The Robbie Keane to Birmingham City deal has stalled because Keano is not willing to move his family up to the Midlands but Mark Hughes has come out and expressed an interest in Keane and West Ham still are interested in him. I can see him going to Fulham more than West Ham. YID ARMY

Bentley's loan deal may actually benefit us. If he plays well it'll surely be easier to sell him. Maybe even to Birmingham if it goes well.

A few shop window displays whilst on loan and we should be able to secure around 3.5 mill for him in the next transfer window, not bad after paying out 15mill + VAT + wages  :-[

Agree it's time for both of them to move on.  Just wonder how this will effect the dressing room.  Maybe Gallas will then rule the roost.

They both need to go...the problem is that no one really wants them...or least wants them enough to pay what Spurs are asking.

I watched the Birmingham Aston Villa game yesterday in a pub and i must say Bentley had a blinder! And he was rewarded with Man Of The Match, i hope this loan spell continues with him in this form he may even get recalled back into our squad. YID ARMY
