Andy Carroll on Free Transfer ??
« on: December 19, 2010, 11:55:18 AM »
Levy may be playing a nice hand coming into the January window, with some very nice cards... trouble is those nice cards need to go before a nicer card comes in to complete the the perfect winning hand.... but How ??

Keane and Bentley are good enough players still for some clubs.... experienced, talented players..... but how do we MAXIMISE their value in a sale ??..... by offering them as part-exchange.....

but Newcastle dont want to disrupt their pattern of play, so how do we recycle our old tins in a way the bin-men will take them ??.... we put them in a green container carefuly marked up for recycling purposes.... and that 'green container' comes in the form of lanky Peter Crouch... in fact they may not even want Bentley, but quite like the green bag, as it allows them to part with their star-asset AND strengthen the team too..

Keane + Crouch + Bentley (or 5m cash)    =    Andy Carroll

Carroll per se isnt what we actually want.... but he serves as a way to offload redundant and high-waged stock AND get a very marketable asset for the future in return...

Levy, the apple is ready to fall into your lap...... be ready..

What Gareth has rather long windedly tried to say is that according to some sunday papers, we are considering a bid for Carroll.  £20 million with Crouch or Keane thrown in as part of the deal. The guys on Skys sunday supplement show had heard this and thought it had a reasonable chance of successs. Although Chelsea are also in the market.

 HILARIOUS

let me put you in a quote here of what you said on the 12 december.

"Carroll is waaaaay over-rated on account of being a Geordie playing for Newky and also by being Ingerlish...little pace, little technique, over-agressive, very poor movement off the ball, good in the air.... we have Crouch who is better..Cameron Jerome please."

So you want him in now, but then say, he is really not what we want?..make up your mind!

One for the future?...what happens if he comes to WHL and flops...just like many a player  has done in the past!

What do we do with him then....let him waste away on the bench like Keane and Bentley.

How many players do you want us to sign Gareth?

Lets have a look at who you want.

Cameron Jerome
Vedad Ibišević
Scott Parker
Craig Bellamy
Matt Kandji
Luis Fabiano
Jay Bothroyd
Vincenzo Iaquinta
Romelu Lukaku
Alexandre Lacazette
Marko Arnautović
Connor Wickham
Glen Johnson
Steven Pienaar
Wayne Bridge
Edinson Cavani
Pavel Pogrebniak
Karim Benzema
Stewart Downing
Diego Capel

Put Jenas in goals and you would have a great squad there Martin Keown.

Jesus you come out with some rubbish....is that what all Ars*nal fans are like?

its a win-win..

Newky get experience wholly lacking as well as quality and the ability to maintain their style of play, with Crouch upfront...Spurs get to recycle surplus players and realise the best value for those assets..

I can see us getting Connor Wickham or the new Dutch wonder-kid Castaignas to complete the options upfront..

I agree that Carroll STILL IS waaaaay over-rated.... but as long as others like him, then its still a good deal as we can ship him on too in 1-2yrs...

the main aim of the deal is to offload the likes of Keane in a way that will maximise the asset values of players leaving.... also not weakening the team as Carroll is about the same as Crouch ability-wise..

its a shame you have no intelligent reasoning to show this beyond the tedious and predictable way of the insult..

I dont even feel the need to respond in kind. to you.... it would be too easy.

Im still using the 'ignore' button on Gareth and its been working a dream, i dont have to read any of his delusional rubbish that he talks. On the subject, i would be happy with Carroll because 9/10 of Bales and Lennons crosses are perfect but our strikers cannot convert them enough, and if someone like Carroll comes he is going to convert those chances especially in the air where he is strong and our strikers are poor. I would give them Keane as part of the deal and if Crouch has to go then so be it. Whatever happens we must keep Defoe and Pav, and i dont see them going anywhere anyway. I honestly think that Newcastle wont sell him yet and also more to the point will he want to leave?

There is nothing offensive about it Gareth.

Forget about bringing Carroll in weather in a swap deal or moving our players on for a second.

You just talk rubbish.

One week you say Carroll is over-rated...has no pace...no techinque...his movement is poor, he's over-agressive and that we have Crouch who is better...now this week your saying, we should swap Crouch with some cash, for a player who is over-rated..has no pace..no techinque..very little movement and is agressive!

Now today your saying Carroll is about the same as Crouch ability wise, but last week  you were saying Crouch is better than him!

Seriously you couldnt make it up.

From what Pardew was hinting and what would make sense to Newscastle is... in Pardews contract there probably is clause that Carroll isn't to be sold unless a huge offer came in for him.

Fact is, Newcastle won't sell one of their best assests, his form and goal scoring form will probably keep them in the division.

My opinion is they wont consider a swap deal either which is a shame

the naivety of some of you is comical to a fault... to think that someone of the status of an unemployed Pardew could/would have dictated such terms as not selling any particular player is ludicrous... Pardew would have roasted his left testicle to be given even a hint of a chance to land a coaching job at a big (in wealth, fanbase) Prem club like Newky....

as for Carroll not being swapped for Crouch alone, I agree.... it will involve other players eg. Keano and/or cash....

and as for Carroll 'saying' he wants to stay at his local club, well thats expected.... no player is gonna publicise his wish to leave to better himself, if he wants to keep the fans on side til its too late... remember a chap called Sol ??... if the right offer, with CL footy, comes along then Carroll will consider it... simple as..
