2 assists? Maybe on the scoresheet, but there wasn't a whole lot of playmaking going on there. That's WEAK!

What you're doing isn't retaliatory. It's inflammatory. In every thread you're involved in you can go back and see where it started to get weird - and it's you. In fact, after you were put on notice nearly the entire forum was trying extra hard to be positive and give you credit for your input - but you just can't help yourself. It was becoming a bit of a lovefest actually. Do you really feel like everyone is picking on you?

You strike me as someone who isn't very athletic, Gareth. Have you ever played a team sport? I'll also wager that you aren't married, don't have children, haven't served in the military, and have never owned a dog.
He's strained his left adductor muscle it says. Whats that then ? Do we all have those or just footballers ? I wonder how mine are ? *courtesy of taimedowne*

Now now Wilson dont join the dark side like him. His personal life is no use for us. He likes to make people angry well in my point of view its not hard. Keyboard warriors do that all the time but in all seriousness lets just leave the personal life out of this.

Back to topic though, Id love to see what makes Jenas so good. What do you see that is so great in him that he is our best midfielder when in fact last season we went to 4th with Hudds and Modders. It really baffles me!

Puch...

we did get 4th, but we only played THudd-Modric in CM for about 4 games at the end.... and we didnt win all those games either... Modric mostly alternated at LM with the excellent Kranjcar last season..

whether the 'supporters' can credit Jenas with 2 assists, AMONG THE EXCELLENT DEFENSIVE WORK TOO, in the 2nd half against Inter is insignificant.... it doesnt alter the fact that he did excellently, when Modric was sitting on the bench watching..

as for dogs, marriage etc. some ppl are really getting desperate with their lines of attack aren't they...

In my mind those are things that cause a man to become more mature - and the way that you behave isn't manly. Point blank, I think you are a coward. I don't like the fact that you consistently mock my culture and my country. How is that not personal? I ask all of you.

Just asking the questions, though. You've created a perception of yourself that you could correct but you just keep hiding. What about any of that was particularly offensive? Unless I'm right.

started with a rather sexist comment there Willsy... maybe I'm not a man, you can't just go with my 'name' now... and manly and mature are not always 2 words that naturally go together, women in my experience are usually more mature...

I am afraid of certain things like ghosts and vampires so I guess I am a coward.... after all vampires only come out at night and if you dont invite them inside they can't come in...

and I think the vast majority of United Statesians are nice enough.... you just tend to give too much stock to rich folks.... I hear God has now been demoted to  Billionaire's PA....

What you will now notice is the class and understanding of football by 99% of this forum members by nobody coming out and saying something stupid like 'Jenas injury is a real blessing for this team as Sgt Wilson looks great back in the team'. And you know why? Because fans realise it is a team game and a squad game.

We may all have our favourites (some in an pethetic attempt to wind up others) but we all understand the need for a large strong squad, thankfully that is what we have.

I agree with Millsy.... ppl who do that sorta thing need to think on...

as for my opinion on Palacios, I was 1 of the few here as I recall, who actually stood up for him in his mythical 'bad period' recently.... all he did was spray a few passes adrift, which if you watch Spurs properly, youll notice Modric do just as frequently...

glad the Sgt is back..... him, THudd and Jenas should be used as the core squad for a 2-man CM..... with Sandro as backup..

I thought if we could get out the group it would be a great achievement for us," said Redknapp.   "We have to keep going. We've got players here that can play in any team. We have got some outstanding players."   He added: "Gareth Bale could play anywhere along with Luka Modric and there are a few of them."

Not sure why i bothered even posting this other than to show we all know that all you do is re-bait the fishing rod and see what you catch. I am sure you will be delighted with my reply so well done you, another winning day in the life of Martina

please do correect me if I'm wrong, but havent I always sid that the great Modric would do very well at a top team like Barcelona or R.Madrid ??

those teams spend 80% of almost every game... camped in the other half and with their back4s virtually parked at the centre-line..... their opponents rarely attack them and usually just hold out parking the bus...

in that environment the great Modric could do what he does best..... do the pretty stuff knowing he will rarely, very rarely, have to cover ground at speed between the 2 penalty-boxes for 90mins of games...

unfortunately tho, he plays for Spurs currently.... where this is most definately not the case (unless we are playing a Prem club beginning with the letter 'W'...

GK what is it you have against what Modric brings to THFC?

Is it because he is highly talented and has the ability to change a game or fully orchestrate the midfield and our attacking play?  Is it because you feel he is too good for us and desrves to play in what you see is a big team?

And also I get the vibe from a few posts that you feel VDV doesnt have a place in our team when playing 4-4-2?

And that Bale is due to be sold.

Now these are arguably 3 of our most talented players that cause all sorts of trouble for the opposition from the point their name apprears on the team sheet.

You are not a true THFC supporter are you? or even lowly mind changing fad fan of the team? other than creaming over Jenas our great under achiever.

Though saying that you do often make some goods points then wreck it with total shyzzer.

THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

my point about playing Modric in CM of a 4-4-2, vdV as a RM when Defoe's back and Bale possibly being sold (which is a different theme altogether) is about the balance of the team..

Modric IMO is a liability medium-long term as a CM in a midfield with 2 wingers too..... similarly I really dont think playing vdV as a RM is gonna help the RB at all when the other team double up on him ....vdV will be sloping back from the centre-forward slot at 5mph....

we'll see what happens on Sunday..

'' Jermaine Jenas returns from a calf injury but Luka Modric is 50-50 for Tottenham's final Champions League Group A game at FC Twente on Tuesday night.

Jenas has been sidelined since limping out of the 3-0 win over Werder Bremen two weeks ago, while fellow midfielder Modric has been struck down by flu. ''
