MOANING DEMENTING FANS WITH SHORT AND LONG TERM TERM MEMORY LOSS!!!!!!! DO YOU REMEMBER THE BAD DAYS. MAYBE NOT OR YOU MIGHT  HAVE BEEN A SPURS FAN ONLY SINCE THE INTER'S GAME AT HOME. WE HAVE NOT BEEN AND ARE NOT YET A TOP TOP TEAM FOR MANY YEARS NOW. SPURS WORKED HARD AGAINST SUNDERLAND. BOOING FANS STAY AT HOME  AND SWITCH ALLEGIANCE TO ANOTHER EPL TEAM EVERY SATURDAY TO SUIT  THEIR CRAZY PERCEPTIONS,IF THEY ARE NOT REALISTIC AND CANT HACK IT. SPURS FANS NEED TO SUPPORT THEIR TEAM THROUGH THICK AND THIN. SPURS PLAYERS ARE NOT ROBOTS SO BACK OFF PLEASE TO SHOW SOLIDARITY.

Valid points, I was surprised to hear the players were booed off at the end! I think its down to fans expectations, embarassment and disappointment!

I tend not to use the phrase fans, as fans are fickle and not loyal long term in what ever field we are talking about sport, film etc, I am along many others a true THFC Supporter, we stay loyal through thick and thin, we moan about of team, players, manager and results why because we give a s**t and want success.  We are not blind though we know we have alot of building to do and success wont come over night after 1 game.

Just when we look like we have turned a corner it all goes wrong, we get disappointed and frustrated why cos we are passionate about our club. Are we used to this happening ...... yes, do we expect it?? deep down I do yes its what I am used to, failure in the jaws of success lol

True, i thought the booing at the end of the final whistle was pathetic and unnecessary. I hear that a lot of blame was directed at a Bentley and he was given dogs abuse at times by 'fans' at the ground. He was used as a scapegoat yet again which is such a shame because he hasnt played regulary and by watching the highlights (couldnt see the live game) he didnt look that bad, but apparently my mate said that a few poor crosses and free kicks and people started laying into him and Gallas. Just not on, i would never boo any Spurs player ever, you can get fustrated and angry but shouting abuse and booing OUR players is just not right. Bentleys confidence is low as we can all see, but we all want him to succeed at our club.

It doesn't accomplish anything when you boo your own team. We didn't only get a draw yesterday because of lack of effort. Sunderland defended extremely well. It would be one thing if they were out there looking bored and not bothering to run.

My name says fan, I don't really care what you call it! I care about Spurs probably too much. It ruins my day when we don't do well... Sometimes my whole weekend. As Metal said, we're entitled to voice our frustrations and discuss what we think needs to improve. That certainly doesn't mean booing the players though. I think it's even more frustrating right now for us because after all the times in the past we've lost games we should win, it looked like those days were going to be behind us. We're getting there though. I don't think any player played particularly poorly yesterday. We just couldn't get another goal. All is not lost!

I agree, i didn't think Bentley played that bad either, considering he has had some shockers for us, but that wasn't one of them yesterday.

Sunderland got lucky to get a draw at the end of the day, how can you boo your own team because of that, pathetic really.

Exactly. I cannot understand how some people can hate some of our own players. Seriously, I was against Gallas joining us but now that he is a player, I hope he does fine and plays well. Despite his goals, I don't like Pavlyuchenko - would I go and boo him? No (well, when Estonia play Russia, I would boo)! We have players in our team who are for some reason hated and some fans seem to blame them - Gallas, Bentley, Keane, Jenas, just to name a few. At the same time performances of the so-called popular players are viewed through rose-tinted glasses. There is a reason why we have the players we have - the management considers them important and despite the fact that sometimes we all think we could easily manage an EPL team, it is sadly not so. Come on people, they are Spurs players and this is our club - get behind them.

No wonder people consider Spurs fans to be the most fickle ones.

I dont think its down to fans being fickle.... I have long suspected that we have some very obnoxious simple-minded people who follow this club.... I can't think of Ars*nal fans booing their own team, nor can I remember Sulzeer being given a hard time by them when he joined them...

the players did give their all, and if the Spurs 'supporters' cannot see that in the 17 corners won on the night, then they really dont deserve nights like lasy Wednesday next season...

looks like that may well be the case.... what price at the bookies on the likes of Bale and Jenas staying then eh ??...

I shudda been more specific: Ars*nal fans do not boo their team after a less than desired result occurs.... they may boo a player that shows a lack of respect to the club by criticising the team or actively looking to move on...

yet another reason why Sulzeer was absolutely correct in not signalling his intention to leave Spurs well before he did...

fans loyalty to players is only as strong as their 'tabloid' performances on the pitch.... the more aggression and lack of finesse you show, the better alot like it and you will be cheered for a 'hardworking geezer who shows passion'..... irrespective of the quality of football you deliver..

kick the opponent, gnash your teeth, thump your fist, bellow at the ref, hoof it to row:Z.... and they will LOVE you forevermore..

They booed Eboue because he misplaced passes. He had to be subbed because the booing was getting to him.

That's not true for all fans. There are plenty of people on this forum who have already mentioned the obvious regarding players like Bentley and Kranjcar. They haven't been starting games so obviously aren't going to be immediately at their best. Even with Gallas, I thought he played very well yesterday. There was only one mistake. Not all fans have opinions formed by the media or by one result that doesn't go their way.

however, judging by the general subjects involved in Spurs fans chanting at games home and away, I'd say we have a disproportionately higher number of loutish fans than Ars*nal do...

maybe about the same level's as Chelsea's tho..... on 2nd thoughts... no..

PUKE! Dude, you actively cheer player injuries so that your faves can get more time. Rather than insult the opposition and bemoan poor officiating (as passionate fans of all teams do) - you prefer to target our own players - one in particular - AND actual Spurs supporters. I'm not going to apologize for being upset when Nani handled the ball, when Davies was offside, or when Bentley should have been awarded a penalty. I care! We joke that Modric is a better player than Jenas when you do go on, but for myself - I think JJ is great. He is a Spur. You, on the other hand,  seem to genuinely despise Modric and have open contempt for the members of this forum. Don't you dare lecture anyone here about how to be a proper fan!

A lot of fans on the talkshows today are claiming the boos were aimed at Howard Webb and have been taken completly the wrong way.
