I guess now that Arry has clearly chosen Jenas over the great Modric in such an obvious way even to the anti-JJs, and left them with their tails between their legs..... it probably is a good time to say au revoir to the Jenas-bashers......til the next time of course...

Modric  :2funny:

Mostly everything has already been covered but I will say that I'm so glad that we never paid for Gallas as that would have been such a waste of money almost in fact as much as paying his wages. Playing at a higher level with CL experience that would make him the saviour of our defence, can't wait for Dawson to be fit again. Is it any wonder we only have one clean sheet funny how that coincides with Dawson being injured, he may be slow and not as 'talented', as some others say, but at least he tackles and gets stuck in.

Jenas was indeed at fault for not tracking Zanetti, but not even a minute into the game it was kinda flukey for any team to score so early on....

yet despite this fault, Arry STILL thought enough of Jenas to keep him on and take the great Modric off instead... the same great Modric that so many think is so superior to Jenas...

that alone to me is worth the mistake Jenas made, as it perfectly clarifies where Madric is truly in the midfield pecking-order, when Jenas is fully-fit.... so in that respect the result was worth it..

For someone to say that a player not tracking back and allowing the opposition to score so that you can justify another player being taken off is sheer lunacy and shows that you are no supporter, fan, admirer or even anyone that deserves to even be associated with this this great club.

I'm not going to argue about Jenas and as I have said before he is not my favourite player, but last night he had an average game at best and I'm being fair and honest, and just to point out that if Van der Vaart was available than Jenas wouldn't have been on the pitch.

Overall a poor first half but much improved in the second and if we had scored in the 80th minute rather than the 90th who knows.... GARETH BALE YOU ARE LEGEND.... already a WHL hall of fame member !!!!

Flukey? thats horsesh*t!

If you don't defend properly i.e track back, mark up or tackle the opponents player and they have time to pick their spot like Zanetti did last night it really doesn't matter what minute it was in. You give a professional footballer time space infront of goal, they are going to score 99% of the time, unless the keeper makes an outstanding save.

To say it was flukey is complete garbage Keown!

Are you sure you didn't write that in defense of Jenas??

I think you may have done sunshine!  :ohyeah:

:2funny:....... stoppit youre hurting my sides with that one now....

so please do explain the logic of an attacking 2nd striker who has never played the role of an allround CM being bette suited than a specialist CM who is more athletic, and how is that even remotely suited to a 10-man team against a team at home, leading 2-0 and having the extra-man ??...

you simply dazzle with your illogical prejudices against the Jenius..... having THudd and the equally 1-paced and the meagre-staminaed vdV as the CM-pairing would have been epic...... for comedic value alone...

I see Arry shoehorned Modric into the Everton game.... should be easier now to leave him out against ManUure and Inter following.... Modric is really becoming surplus to requirement now.... just where do you play him regularly with Bale now at LM ??.... could be that 1 of them will have to leave the stage at WHL soon...

if not Bale, then Modric is almost a certainty now.... 40m or 20m ??....... decisions decisions...
