First of all Hello to my fellow Spurs ! Niko IS superb, on his day. Sadly when its not his day he's very anonymous. That being said I like him VERY much & thankfully he has more great days than bad ones. Personally I believe Niko & Gio should be our plan B to the Modric & VDV partnership. Both have the ability to produce a partnership that can be VERY successful for Our Club. He obviously will play Vs Inter in both matches, tho after he will be thankful of both Lennon's & Bentley's on going fitness issues. Hopefully he & Sandro both get a game today, tho sadly for whatever reason Gio doesn't look like he has a Snowballs chance :-(

dont think its obvious Krankie's gonna play any of the Inter games.... I think Arry will play 2 robust CMs and Bale on the left.... that will probably leave Modric at RM coming inside... vdV's suspended for the Inter game so I can see Crouch and Gio playing (just behind him, as Arry has said he wants 5 in the midfield in the CL away from home)....

on second thoughts, maybe he'll play Kranks behind Crouchinho in Milan on Wednesday...

Gareth thats what I mean the 451 system with Crouchie has worked VERY well for us. So I don't see the system changing so thats why I bold;y stated obviously as Niko a perfect replacement. Tho Gio...... Nah, will never happen ! COYS

Hoping Kranjcar plays today, he was quality last season and if he hadn't suffered injury at the backend of last year I would suspect he would still be in the first team!

as Arry has stated we will play on the counter as much as possible, and the fact hat Jenas was rested yesterday.... I think Arry will actually play Jenas just behind Crouch in a 4-4-1-1....

we will need JJs pace on the counter to get support up to Crouch asap.... Krankie doesnt really give us that...

I'd rather see Modric in the hole behind Crouch, Modric has the undoubted ability to spot and deliver that killer pass

Modric as a 2nd striker in the 'hole' behind Crouch, when we will mainly play counter-attack.... :2funny:

oh for the shot memories of the 'fans' who so soon forget that in fact Modric was shoehorned into playing that very role when he 1st joined Spurs... he was crap at it..

the clue is in the original statement.... 'on the counter'.... pace.... penetration... the ability to outrun CBs twice as big and powerful.... the ability to shoot WITH POWER ....

Modric  :2funny:

Jenas has the ability to do that ^^^^ BUT very rarely does.... hence i'd like to see Modric in a more advanced role

maybe in a 4-4-2 using wingers, the CMs are not asked to bomb forward generally... that may be relevant possibly do you fink ??...

under Jol, Jenas was given license to arttack the pen-box alot more... which he did CONSISTENTLY to good effect...
