1st thing Vortex is whats with all the dot dot dot business at the end/ in the middle of paragraphs ??.... do you now have delusions of grandeur in who you are ??

as for Bale signing his contract extension 'recently': that was done before the end of last season and came before the recent enticements by RM, Inter and a few other mega-clubs.... the extension also gave the small matter of a doubling pay-rise to Bale.... you could say that at that particular time he would have been foolish to not sign it..

anywayz, contracts are mainly there to allow the selling-club a decent transfer-fee in any future sale, so in that sense it was 'job done' by Levy.... ditto with Modric..

if RM offer 30m+ for Bale in the summer, or 35m in January, then Bale will go.... simple as..... and we will play Modric at LM with Kranjcar as reserve, and Lennon will be the main attacking outlet at RM.... which would be just fine...

especially if/when we use the Bale-cash for a super-striker

actually Genius, a fifth of the world's population speak a dialect of Chinese, and Mandarin happens to be 1 of over a dozen..... therefore Spanish is still the world's 2nd language (even if you go just by the number of ppl speaking it and not factor in its use as an intl language)...

both ways.... you lose  :coolsmiley:

wrong move ??

play for the world-s most famous club..... have only 2 difficult league games a season..... play regular CL and win it twice a decade..... mix with the European glitterati...... earn twice as much money as with Spurs...... experience a great lifestyle and new culture...... become fluent in the worlds 2nd language....... mix regularly with Spanish/European Royalty.....

tough choice.
Bale is still developing and I think going to Madrid now to be a squad player would be the wrong move. Thank f**k you don't run the team Gareth or else we would be in trouble - jesus you would probably make JJ captain and sell all our best upcoming players!!!! :2funny: Also Gareth Spanish is not the worlds second language mate. Nearly a fifth of world population speak Mandarin with English coming in second.
Any more words of wisdom???
Any

I like you already mate!

looks to me like Arry already flirting with the idea of the Bale-Benzema swap..

'reported the Spurs, Manchester United and Juventus are ready with a €30 million bit for Los Blancos striker Karim Benzema. Having been alerted to the news that Real are looking to offload both Benzema and Kaka due to their lack of impact at the Bernabeu, Spurs are apparently already at the table and looking to add to their goal scoring options.'

Tottenham have made Real Madrid star Karim Benzema a January transfer target, Goal.com UK can reveal.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp will closely monitor the France striker’s situation at the Bernabeu with a view to an audacious move when the transfer window opens.

Benzema, 22, could be on his way out of the Spanish capital because of a lack of playing time and a frosty relationship with new coach Jose Mourinho.

Tottenham are desperate to sign a top class striker in January to aid their challenge to finish in the top four of the Premier League again and will keep a close eye on Benzema to see if he becomes available.

Benzema has failed to cement a place in the Madrid side since his €35 million move from Lyon last summer but remains one of the hottest talents in European football.

Spurs have the money to buy a big name striker and tried to sign the likes of Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan and Sevilla’s Luis Fabiano over the summer but their efforts were frustrated.

Redknapp has up to £25m to spend on a goalscorer and is hopeful that, should Benzema become available, he will be attracted by the chance to repeat Rafael van der Vaart’s renaissance since leaving the Bernabeu for north London on the last day of the summer transfer window.''

''reports that Harry Redknapp has faced up to losing Gareth Bale and he is already lining up a replacement.

The Welshman’s impressive form has seen him linked with a number of Europe’s top clubs and there are rumours that he will be looking for a move if Spurs fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

As a result, Redknapp is reportedly tracking Barcelona star Pedro who won the World Cup with Spain with a view to signing him next summer. The 23-year-old can play either down the left or right and stars as both a winger and striker and he also has a powerful shot from long range.''

''Real Madrid’s interest in signing Luis Suarez could open the doors for Karim Benzema to move to Spurs. According to Sport.co.uk, Los Blancos have singled out the Ajax striker as their top transfer target in January and a deal for the Uruguayan would be sure to seal Benzema’s exit. In other transfer news, Goal.com reports that Roma, Fiorentina and Genoa are all closely monitoring Giovani dos Santos. Napoli had appeared to be the likely destination for the Mexican international but they could now face stiff competition from their Serie A rivals.''

all the signs are now appearing that Arry sees Bale-sale as a way to get in a super-striker eg. Benzema...... great minds think alike eh Arry ??

should never look at just 1 source.... always see where the series of reports is leading you...

thr report that Arry has thought about/ looked at/ considering getting Pedro is the biggest hint yet to R.Madrid that yes Spurs are open to a deal for Bale.... if Benzema goes the other way...

even if Benzema doesnt come, Spurs will use the money from Bale and get in another big striker (possibly Dzeko).... as Arry has any 1 of Modric/vdV/Kranjcar to play at LM for the rest of the season....leaving THudd, Jenas, Sandra and Palacios for the 2 CM berths...

its jes bizzness... nuffink personal innit

In my opinion Bale will stay for a couple more years and then move on to wherever if we haven't won a throphy. He owes Harry a lot for his turnaround and will want to re-pay him at least!

Bale owes Redknapp and Co. absolutely nothing.... Bale was producing outstanding performances at LM even under Jol.... then he got injured..

perhaps if Arry was as astute as you might think, then he wouldnt have waited til BAE got injured before giving Bale a run in the team.... where would Bale be now if BAE hadnt had that groin-injury ??.....

still playing in the reserves.... or farmed out to Bristol City...

and had a few niggling injuries. Harry and co have hardened Bale up so he does'nt whimp about when he gets fouled. And as for his form yes he was good under Jol, but the coaching staff at Tottenham have improved his alround game in my opinion.
